Let's show how creative you are:- Drawing - Rhinoceros

A very good and wonderful day and evening to all the wonderful members and Nigerians in this wonderful steem4nigeria community. After several attempts ro participate in this contest i have finally mustered the boldness to make an entry. I am satisfied with my drawing of the rhinoceros and am going to share it with all of us.

The materials and equipment i used included
1 A HB pencil
2 A hard charcoal pencil and
3 An eraser (a piece actually)

STEP 1: I started my piece of art by drawing the overall body outline and face and a bunch of grasses. I am more able to draw it with this step.

STEP 2 : I added the other legs and made some adjustments to the shape of the back.

STEP 3: Then finally I shaded the rhino and added the finer details such as nails e.t.c.

Have you seen one before?
I have never seen one before. It does not have a natural habitat in my area. Hiwever i believe if I go to a zoo i may see one.

WHAT TYPE OF ANIMAL IS IT?
A Rhinoceros (abbreviated to rhino) is a herbivorous mammal. Its scientific name is Rhinocerotidae.
It lives in savannahs and grasslands in Africa. It lives for an average of 35 to 40 years in the wild. Rhinos can weigh as much as 7,000 (seven thousand) pounds or nearly 3,760 kg (three thousand seven hundred and sixty kilograms ).

CHARACTERISTICS OF RHINOCEROSES
1 Rhinos have a very thick and tough skin which protects them from insects.

2 Rhinos can run at a speed of 55km/h

3 Rhinos have a very poor eyesight and may not see a person 30 meters away from them.

4 Rhinos are among the endangered species as the are reducing in number due to hunting by humans .
