Yes, I absolutely love traveling! It’s something I'm really passionate about because it comes with so many benefits. One of the biggest ones for me is learning, traveling opens you up to new experiences, different cultures, and you get to know places. It broadens my perspective and teaches me things I can't literally learn in a classroom or possibly from a book.
For now, most of my travels are for vacations and visits, not business, since I am not deeply involved in business yet. But I truly enjoy every trip I take. In fact, traveling has become more like a hobby for me, it’s something I genuinely love doing.
I believe that very soon, I will start going on business trips too, but at the moment, it’s majorly about enjoying new places and connecting with people through personal visits and vacations.
What is your worst traveling experience, share with us. |

My worst travel experience happened recently when I was traveling from my state, Nasarawa, to Jos for a vacation. It turned out to be really stressful because I made a major mistake, I didn’t carry enough cash with me. I had money in my account, but I only withdrew just enough to pay for transportation, thinking that would be enough.
Along the way, things took a turn for the worse. Around 7pm, our vehicle broke down on the road. We were stuck there for hours, and it was already getting so dark.
The driver told us that another vehicle would be sent from where we came from to pick us up and continue the journey to Jos. Some of the passengers decided to find other means to continue their journey, but I couldn’t do the same because, I had no cash with me. The last bit of cash I had was what I had paid the driver earlier.
Most of the drivers around didn’t accept transfers, and that left me stranded. Eventually, almost everyone had left, and it was just me and the driver. It was such a frustrating moment, being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no cash and no clear way forward.
Thankfully, the driver was understanding when I explained my situation. I was able to make a transfer to him, and he gave me some cash in return. With that, I was finally able to get another vehicle heading to Jos. I did not arrive until around 1am, and it was one of the most exhausting travel experiences I have ever had.
Was the cause of the experience something you could have avoided or it's something you didn't see coming at all? |

I honestly didn’t see it coming, but looking back, it’s an experience I could have avoided. The main issue was that I only withdrew just enough money for transport and left the rest in my account.
If I had simply assumed I would need more cash and withdrawn a bit extra, I wouldn’t have gone through that situation. So yes, even though it caught me off guard, it’s something I could have prevented with better planning.
Is there any advice or tips you would love to give to your readers about traveling? |

Yes, one important tip I will love to share with my readers is to always carry extra cash when traveling. It’s not enough to just have money in your bank account, make sure you have some physical cash on you as well.
You never know when you might face an emergency or a situation where card payments or transfers won't be possible or accepted. I learned this the hard way when I needed cash but did not have any on me, and I ended up stranded.
So, to avoid that kind of stress, always keep some cash with you for unforeseen circumstances.
Thank you all for reading through my post🙏🙏
