Love is in the Air

Hello my beautiful steemians from Steem4nigeria. Happy valentine in advance. I hope you are already getting excited ready for the D-Day, Valentine, coming up this Friday. As you can see, I am fully prepared to share my love with my lover. Let me thank the organiser of this contest for this competition so I can post my entry in this interesting topic. In this post, I am going to tell you interesting facts about valentine and other things you would want to learn from this post. Come with me, let's get to the danced floor.

*Valentine day celebration started from Valentine of Rome.

*Its celebration has a paganistic origin fron the Roman god in charge of agriculture, Faunus, the founder of Roman Empire.

*Valentine day became a love holiday in the 12th century during the season of birds mating.

*The first letter to be sent on a valentine day according to history, was from Charles, the Duke of Orleans to his wife , telling her that, "I am already sick of love..."

*Giving of flowers, which symbolizes love during valentine day went back to the 1800.

*The colours of valentine day: red and white symbolize love and happiness respectively.

*Valentine day is one of the popular days where the would-be couples can propose to each other..

*Four states in USA name their states valentine: Arizona, Nebraska, Texas and Virginia.

In your opinion, what is valentine about?

Valentine in my own opinion is a day for love celebration between two people who are in love. Valentine is a time where people show love to one another. It's a time for genuine love among family members, couples as well as colleagues at work place. Valentine is not all about erotic love but more of kindness and care. It's a time to forgive, revive broken relationship, union and others. Majorly, it's a time to take partners out on a sit-out and then exchange gifts.

What has been your best valentine day?

My best valentine day that I won't forget was in 2023. On February that year, my wife surprisingly paid my second semester's school fees for me. It was shocking how she got my school documents from my files and then went to pay my fees without my knowledge. She only came back as we were on a sit-out to break the news I regarded this as the best valentine I have celebrated and it's memorable.

How eagerly are you looking forward to this year's valentine?

Honestly, I am looking forward to this year's valentine which is around the corner with much eagerness. The way my wife is behaving, I suspect she will surely surprise me with gifts. Although I am also planning big on her just to reciprocate the gesture she had shown on me. I am planning to surprise her as well this year.

Which steemit user would you like to be your val and why?

I have a lot friends, male and female, in steemit who have helped me to grow. I wish I could ask all of them to be my val but I prefer @destinedhanik to be my val. Reasons for her choice is not far-fetched. First, she is very committed in steemit. Apart from this, she was the one who introduced me to steemit. We are also in the same teaching profession. Finally, as someone that is jovial and fun to be with, she will accept my invitation.
