When friends betray me

It's funny how sometimes the people you'd take a bullet for are the ones behind the trigger...

Betrayal runs deeper than we realize. It involves turning against someone and putting them in danger through disloyalty. It also means letting down a friend's trust, hopes, and expectations.

Betrayal isn't only about revealing secrets; it's about doing something unexpected. It's like stabbing a friend in the back without them knowing who did it.

Betrayal is sharing a meal with someone while planning their downfall, similar to how Peter betrayed Jesus Christ. It can mean causing harm to others without realizing the impact. It's like preparing for someone's end before they even know it.

Betrayal is much more complex than we can truly understand.

I have faced betrayal from several people, but I believe that everything that happens, good or bad, teaches us a lesson.

People can be unpredictable, and I often find myself wondering why. I have many stories to share, but I will focus on the most recent one.

I trusted a friend deeply and even shared my ATM pin with her. This pin is very important and should never be shared, but I believed in her intentions.

Every day, she would withdraw either #1000 or #2000 from my account for reasons I couldn't understand. I don’t receive alerts on my phone, so I had no idea when money was being taken out.

She kept doing this until she decided to take a large sum of money, thinking I wouldn’t notice since I was unaware of the smaller withdrawals.

She took a significant amount and traveled to another city without telling me. Although we don’t live together, she would visit occasionally.

Weeks later, when I went to the bank to send money to my mom, I discovered that a large amount was missing from my account. I was shocked and confused about how it happened.

I asked the bank staff for details about the transactions, and that’s when I realized I had been scammed. I tried to call her, but she ignored my calls and stopped visiting.

This experience changed my view on friendships. Now, I have only one true friend and sister who truly understands what friendship means, and I’m happy to have her in my life.

The best way to recover from betrayal is through forgiveness. Letting go of broken trust by forgiving others helps you find happiness, peace, and joy.

Inner peace is invaluable. While discussing betrayal with trusted friends can be helpful, truly forgiving those who have hurt you means you are choosing to move on.

Forgiveness is challenging, but it is essential for your mental well-being.

Let them go for good. You can't harm them for their betrayal; instead, you should focus on moving forward by forgiving them and learning from the experience.

You can trust others again, but now you have gained wisdom. Every betrayal teaches you something valuable. No matter how often a friend lets you down, you can choose to release them and allow them to live their own lives.

This is just my view, and it's what I plan to do, even if it's difficult. Letting go is the best way to handle those who have betrayed you.
