Love is in the Air

Let's talk about love...

Honestly, this is the first time in my life I'm faced with such question. Over the years,I have heard people talk about val like a precious day that would never come to pass. When I finally sat down to read the history of valentine, I discovered so much.

To me, Valentine is a special day set aside to show love, care, affection and be passionate about people you think you are better of. It's a day to love and be loved. It's a day to share and exchange beautiful gifts of whatever you could afford. Above all, It's a day to put a smile on someone's face.

Although, what we see today as val isn't the true meaning of val but what can we say? The true meaning of val has been discarded and then it's more about romantic love and all of that.

I don't think I have ever experienced any val day. I can't remember any, but I know that I could remember one day in high school when my seat mate bought a val card with a rose and came standing in front of me smiling and when I looked up to see who it was, she said "happy val", I was surprised that someone could get something for me because I was told that it was only those with a boyfriend that could receive gifts, so since I don't have one I wasn't expecting anything.

This day was the day I went as far as finding out the true meaning of valentine so I could understand how it works and what it was all about.

I wish I could do something rela cool for someone out there. I wish I could be the reason someone would smile and live again.

My plans is to go out and reach out to few people, making them happy and giving them support anywhere they so need it, that is my understanding of this Valentine's day so I want to make this one count, I want to make it a val year to remember.

I already have a val @ruthjoe. She has asked me to be her val and it's a great honour for me. We both understand love and how to express it so she's my perfect match.

She's full of love and being my val would make me get more interested in valentine celebration. Her energy is one of it's kind and even though we disagree in somethings, we agree in most things and I love het to the moon and back. I don't need to ask if she will be my val, I already know the answer.

To my val, I wish this year val would be a memorable one.
