The movie begins with Will Sharp, a guy struggling financially. He’s trying to secure insurance for his wife’s surgery, but his claims are denied. All to no avail , he becomes desperate and emotional. Will ,now thought of seeing his brother Danny Sharp, so maybe he could ask for help , Danny a wanted and reckless criminal.

On Will reaching Danny base , Danny was happy to see him, the exchanged pleasantries, Danny offers him a way out , but the offer was not favorable to will : Danny asked will to join him in a bank heist that could fetch them a whooping sum of $32 million. At first, Will wanted to disagree with the offer but remembers he has no choice because of his wife’s condition.

Talk about the main idea of the movie

The Heist

Danny assembles his crew/gang members and they had a little talk and plan on how to go about the robbery, after which Danny and his crew drove downtown Los Angeles. Funny enough it was a daylight robbery. Things was going smoothly and as planned, until a commotion occurred.

Things changed when Officer Zach, a young LAPD cop, enters the bank to ask a young beautiful girl in the counter out on a date. His presence changed the atmosphere of the operation. Everything was all calm and good when a noise came from outside the bank , suddenly when officer Zach realized what was going on. He couldn’t help himself or anyone at the moment, so he was held hostage by will and Danny.
On leaving the bank an argument occurred with the three of them and officer Zach was mistakenly shot, Will and Danny not knowing what to do left Zach bleeding.
At this point they entire police in the city were after them.
During the escape, Danny and Will hijack an ambulance carrying Zach, who is critically injured.

The Chase

The movie continues with Danny and Will driving in the city trying to escape, all his crew members were all killed now Only Danny and Will is left. So Danny and Will driving round Los Angeles trying to run away from the cop.The LAPD and FBI get involved, including Captain Monroe, a hostage negotiator, and FBI Agent Anson Clark, who has a personal history with Danny things now gets tense and worsen for Will and Danny.

Cam, the EMT, a lady who Danny forced to stay back in the ambulance with them in other to keep officer Zach alive.
Will was reasonable while Danny was rude and violent, she was tensed, She performs impromptu surgery on officer Zach during the high-speed chase in the ambulance, she had to consult her superiors because she was not really good at it, so she was guided via FaceTime the surgeon and doctors directed her , tho she was tensed but the surgery went well.

Character Conflict & Development

Will gradually and slowly having thought of his wife and family, this becoming worse and tense for him and Danny , his thoughts makes him remorseful making him think of saving Zach’s and keeping Cam safe.

Danny’s anger increased as pressure mounts on them,
He became angry and started shouting at cam , cam because of her good sense of humanity and trying to keep Zach alive, she ignored Danny.
As the chase continues, Danny and Will narrowly escape multiple traps, including SWAT blockades, drones, and helicopter pursuit.

Climax

The chase continues at the Los Angeles River, after the might have escaped a face of face gun to gun confrontation from the police and other gang members that Danny invited, as trying to escape unfortunately the case worsens as the police corners their ambulance.

Danny is shot in the final confrontation, Danny dies in Will’s arms.
Will still bleeding but alive

Will is arrested but before the arrest, he took some money and put it in cam’s bag , so cam could give to his wife
His last words to cam was ,Please save Zach. Tell my wife I did it for her."

Cam, deeply moved by Will’s sacrifice and humanity, ensures that Zach survives and later visits Will’s wife to deliver the message and give her money from the heist.
The film closes with Cam walking away from the hospital.

Describe the plot and setting of the movie

Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Ambulance follows Will , a desperate war veteran trying to save his sick wife. With no financial help, he turns to his adoptive brother Danny, a career criminal, who lures him into a high-stakes daylight bank robbery. When the heist goes wrong, they hijack an ambulance carrying a cop the wounded and an EMT named Cam, sparking a high-speed chase across Los Angeles.

As the tension rises, Will faces a moral dilemma between loyalty to his brother Danny and doing the right thing. The movie ends in tragedy, sacrifice, and redemption.

If you were the Director of the movie what would you do differently?

If I was a Director of the movie what I would do differently would be to:

Tell a backstory for Will and Danny
I will show their childhood and military past to explain better and also their bond as brothers.
I would make the robbery more realistic,cus it felt as if it was fast or too quick, I would add more preparation and plan before the heist to build a little suspense.
Also instead of quick conclusions, I will let it be a little bit emotional, maybe show will’s wife reacting to cam’s visit, explaining his sacrifice.
