SHOW US WHAT YOU CAN DO : DRAW A RHINOCEROS
Hello my friends, I'm using this medium to submit my entry for the contest : Show Us What You Can Do. And I also want to thank @benton3 for the contest.
This week's drawing is of a Rhinoceros, a very big animal but gentle mammals that can only be found in Africa and Asia.
What type of animal is rhinoceros? What are its characteristics?
Rhinoceros are animals that feed on grass (herbivores). Their skin looks like the rough bark of an ancient tree. An adult rhino weighs about 1500-3000 kilograms. The position and the shape of their horns sets them apart from other animals, horns that protrude from their nose.
Characteristics of Rhinoceros.
Shape of Horn: their horns make them stand out among other gaint mammals.
Size: Rhinoceros are large mammals even a baby rhino has more weight than most adult human beings.
Herbivores : Despite their size, rhino's feed on only grass, fruits and leaves.
*Grumpy/Aggressive Attitude : Rhinoceros are very aggressive especially when they feel threatened by predators.
Have you ever seen one?
No, I haven't seen one in real life but on television.
Steps In drawing a Rhinoceros
- First of all I brought out a book, then I looked for a pencil and I brought out my phone.
- I started off by drawing the face part. As seen in the picture below. I fixed the horn exactly as seen in the sample image I was using.
- Then I proceeded to draw the other parts of the body.
I drew the legs, the fingernails, the tail and I added my username.
- I double shaded the drawing to highlight it properly. I did not forget to add the nose, mouth and ears to make it look more real.
This is the end result I hope I tried.
Thank you.
