"SLC-S25/W2-Movie Snapshots|Book to Screen ( Amrao Jan Ada )
Greeting to all my steemit friends and fellows.
I hope you all are doing well with the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty. I am @mannatnawaz from Pakistan..First of all, I would like to thank the very respectable and honourable Madam @ruthjoe who gave us the opportunity to be a part of this contest again and this time as a title of "Book to Screen" week 2.As a host for season 25 steemit challenge .
Respected lady I like the topic because through this we also know about the importance of books.Madam, this time I will try to follow your instructions and I will not repeat the mistakes I made last time.
First of all, Madam, this time I am writing after checking that this time no one else has posted on the same film. No one has done so yet, so I am writing on this film. Which is based on the story of a very beautiful novel. The name of this novel is "Umrao Jaan Ada".
It was written by Mirza Hadi Ruswa, a very famous and excellent writer of the Indian subcontinent. He was the first author of Urdu novel. This novel was published in 1899.And this novel is included in the Urdu syllabus in BA and BS classes in Pakistan. And the importance of this novel is also highlighted by the fact that two films have been made on this novel in India and one film in Pakistan. The three films were box office successes and won many awards.
Similarly, a drama was also made on this novel in Pakistan. Mirza Hadi Ruswa is based on the era (1857-1931) of Mirza Hadi Ruswa. This novel was written in a very beautiful style. The special thing about this novel is that it is the first novel in Urdu history.
•Do you think, an idea is better written as a book/novel or acted out as a movie? And which do you prefer?
In my point of view story writing or write a novel is not easy .An author and writter write them with a lot of thoughts and according to the situations. While making a film on the base of a novel is easy .Because the director has a complete guideline for making a film.As an Urdu literature degree holder I prefer to read a novel on a calm atmosphere. Amrao Jan Ada was write in a difficult Urdu words which is not easy to understand. But the best thing is that it represent Lakhnaw traditional language .I don't neglect the importance of film because it ad a veriety of songs and characters which we see live, while novel is an imaginary line.
•Watch any movie adapted from a book or novel.
I saw a movie after reading a novel because I am fond of reading novels and this novel was included in my B.A syllabus also. This film was based on Amrao Jan Ada which was released in 1981. The verstyle actress of India Rekha was in leading role.

This film is based on the story of a prostitute and poet of the nineteenth century. In 1840, a young girl from Faizabad named Amiran was kidnapped by a enemy of her father which name was Dilawer and sold her to the brothel of Madam Khanum Jahan.
Where Khanum Jahan used to train new and young prostitutes. At this brothel, Amiran was given a new name, Amrao Jan Ada. Amrao was so beautiful and intelligent. Her poetry was so impressive. She was a good dancer.

Apart from dancing, Amrao Jan Ada also had very good poetry. After some time, Amrao became very famous because of her beauty. A young Nawab liked her and both of them fell in love with each other. But after some time, the Nawab had to marry someone else because of his family, which made Amrao very angry and she ran away with a dacoit. Faiz Ali, but that dacoit was also killed. Amrao went to Khanpur and started living as a poet.
Gauhar Mirza and Hussaini, both are so clever. They are the keepers of the brotheand deceived her. There she met Ram Dai, who sold her to Nawab Sultan's mother. The soldiers attacked her there and she reached Faizabad again.
Her family recognized her and her mother was very happy to see her, but her brothers considered her a prostitute and were not treating her well and were looking at her with the eyes of a prostitute. Amrao, fed up with the situation, returned to Lucknow again, but the brothel there had become a ruin.
The end of the film has a tragedy scene bacause the writer tell us the tragedy of prostitute.Thr last scene of film we see that Amrao was alone in her brothel which was looked like a desart.
•From the movie you have watched above, what can you say about the strength and weakness of the movie compared to the book/novel but if you have not read the book then tell us what captivated you the most in the movie and if you were to write a book on the movie how would that part be written to captivate the reader?
I read the novel and also saw the film.First I tell you the strength and weakness of the film.
STRENGTH
The power of the delivery of dialogues by Rekha g was so impressive and the acting of Naseer ud Din Shah was so good. The scenes of songs and beautiful lyrics ad a wonderful twist in the film.
WEAKNESS
The movie have some unnecessary things. There are some lines which are miss related to Nawab. Lack of clarity .If the film was on a very serious topic but if there was a little bit of humour then the film more interesting. It is my opinion.
If I write a novel I try to add some funny scene also because it is the need of a film otherwise audience was fed up.Althoug it was a tragic movie but balance of music, humour and dialogues make a film more impressive.
At the end I want to say thanks to respected lady madam @ruthjoe who giving me another opportunity for become a part of this Wonderful community.
Now I would like to invite my dearest friends to participate in this amazing contest ,
Thank you for participating in this challenge of season 25.
Good to know you have read the book and seen the movie. I commend your effort this week.
Thank you mam for encouraging me,I will try my level best.Thank you again for your kindness.Best regards.
