The Transition Diary - From Being Single to Married.

Hello friends, welcome to my blog, it's being a long while and of course I missed being here. If I'm right with my guess, the last time I checked in to blog was over a month ago.

I really wished I could keep up you know but life demands especially the phase I left before my transition... I really do not know how demanding this new phase will be but I'm open to all it brings my way.

I hope you're not about to ask what new phase I just transited into...I think it already obvious....Yeah! I just got married and of course I'm just exploring this phase of life.

Those who are already experienced can throw me one or two tips to hold on to as a continue with my journey...or is it not what its called, "journey"? The one you embark on to a destination called "forever"....

Anyways, I'm more than ready and willing to embark on this journey with the LOML...if you know you know (winkz). I guess someone here is about to ask how we met, smiles... Maybe today is not just the day to have that discussion

...or should i just give y'all a tip of the iceberg.....eeeerrrrm, let me think about it, maybe I might just end up saying something about it before I end my post but if i don't, kindly remind me because I actually didn't forget...lol.

At first I thought to post this on my personal blog just so the view can be limited and I get to make a cover up for my "shyness",smiles. Well I can be shy, really shy when I actually want to be, those who are close pals can still figure this part of me somehow while those who aren't can easily spot it...when we are physically together.

Anyways, I'm glad I'm finally making this publicly , oh did I just use the word public, I meant to say I'm glad I'm sharing this post with you all, my very family on chain!

Here is your latest groom famz... Oh yes! I think I still hold the status of the latest married young man at the moment, if you really want to counter that, then bring your strong evidence of you in your wedding attire...lols.

Okay wait! wait!! wait!!!! Just before you nail me to the cross for only sharing with you the groom without the bride, I've decided to show you the bride as well with a little teaser of course.

1000008503.jpg

Yea! I had to show off the bride, my wife with a veil just so you can be patient the same way I was before I was asked to take the veil off her face... That wait can be torturing sometimes you know, not because you've not seen the bride before but because you can't just wait to see how beautifully she has prepared herself to appear specially for you on that special day... Oh let me not start with some love talks.

There you go finally...in the clergy's voice, "I present to you the latest couple in town, Mr & Mrs Dibie!" Of course you know what followed when that announcement that had been long awaited was voiced with so much excited and enthusiasm by the clergy... The whole room reverberated with a loud shout of joy...

It was actually a whole lot of queued up process before we got to that point where we were finally pronounced as husband and wife. We had our engagement before the church wedding.

For you my friends here that are non-nigerian, engagement ceremony is where both parent consent to the union of the intending couple while the church is where you get the blessing from the altar... So guys! I've got some excerpt for you.

I also had more than enough time to take some shots with friends and well wishes who came around from their various location just to grace the occasion. Seeing some of the attendees that day made me so glad, it made me feel more than important and valued.

I actually wanted to have a small wedding ceremony with just few folk in attendance but it ended up looking not so small as expected but I'm glad it turned out the way it did.

...and yeah! how will I forget my rare gems @ninapenda and @ruthjoe who made effort to show up but couldn't make it...they had so much difficulty with their journey down to my location which prevented them from meeting up eventually.

The journey between Lagos where they reside and Ibadan where I stay is quite a distance and I appreciate the fact that they decided to take off just to grace my wedding... Hey gems! Let me say this here, I love you both, we've really come a long way.

A special thank to @bossj23, this young man has been so helpful all through this phase. He even proposed we have a virtual caption of the wedding ceremony but I was just too occupied to follow through with the idea. Thanks Brotherly.

Finally, I will like to appreciate the steem4nigeria community, my colleagues and my "ogas" like I love to address them for the support all the way. @xkool24 @ngoenyi @benton03 @okere-blessing @fredquantum & @sahmie who should be joining me here asap 😜. I want to say I'm grateful.

Let me leave you with this the video below as my way of making up for not giving y'all a virtual feel of my wedding.

Best Regards
@lhorgic❤️

The transition from singlehood to marriage is like opening a new chapter filled with fresh lessons and shared dreams. Your diary reflects the courage it takes to embrace change. Marriage, as you describe it, is not just a union but a journey where love, compromise, and growth walk hand in hand. Congratulations on your marriage, wishing you all the best.

Thank you so much friend, you have just nailed it with this statement of yours below
