Good day my fellow steemians. I am so excited to participate on this contest hosted by @ruthjoe titled When friends betray you.

In your understanding tell us what you understand by the word betrayal?

Betrayal be seen as an act where a person breaks trust of another person. It can happen in different forms e.g leaking information to an enemy , stealing , cheating , heartbreak etc.
It doesn't only confine to an individual it can happen to a group of people, organizations, even country.

Have you ever been betrayed by anyone? Tell us what happened.

Yes of course, i have been betrayed by people in the past , one of which i would share here . A friend of mine came to me asking me to borrow him a certain amount of money which he needed urgently to clear his debt . I told him i would not borrow him the money not because i did not have at that time to give , but because i was planning to buy one of my tools with that money and because of that i won't be able to lend him the money.
I also told him it wouldn't be possible because of fear if he would keep his promise and return it back. He persuaded me to please lend him the money and promise he would pay back in time . So i gave him the money and we agreed on the date which he would pay back .
The day he was to pay the money came and passed i didn't see his call or message so i taught he forgot , i didn't bother to call him . So the next day i called him his number was switched off and his lines were not going through , i was surprised because when i needed back my money his line were not going though . The next day i went to his house to look for him , when i reached his house the doors were locked and he wasn't around. I then asked his neighbors living next door about him and the told me he no longer lives there and he travelled for more than a week.
I was very shocked , angry and didn't know what to do , because he was my friend whom i trusted but i never belived he would do something like that, and it taught me a very big lesson till today

We know that betrayal may lead to heartbreak, tell us ways to heal from such betrayal?

Betrayal always and will always lead to heartbreaks . So many people feel the only the way the can heal from it is to reciprocate, but i would suggest :
-you forget about the situation and what happened in the past and let by gone be by gone .

• Also you have to forgive the person because by so doing u have freed yourself .
  -And then you have to use that as a lesson .

How do you deal with people who have broken your heart several times?

U have to forgive them , but u also need to limit your relationship with them , because such people are wolf's in sheep clothing.
