The Diary Game // My Sunday Activities // [24:11:2024]

Steemit greetings @everyone, Happy new week to you all from my motherland, Nigeria. I welcome you to my blog where I will be sharing my Sunday's activities. I started the day when I woke up by 8:10am, I woke a bit late because I had some graphics work that I designed Saturday night which took me till 3am. Though I purposely work that long because I knew I will be attending second service on Sunday.

After my morning devotion, I cleaned the house as usual, thereafter I entered bathroom, brushed my teeth and took my shower. Yesterday was the last Sunday of the month so, in my church every last Sunday of the month is always fasting that's why I didn't bother preparing food. By 9am, I was in the church. The second service lasted for 3 hours which we said the benediction by 12Noon.

Immediately I came back from church, I freshened up and entered kitchen to prepare food so that I can eat and rest. I had raw rice and other ingredients in the kitchen so I prepared jollof rice and ate.

Don't mind the quantity, I wasn't eating alone, smiles. That's by the way shahh. After eating, it was around 1:50pm, I entered bed to have a blissful nap. All my plans to sleep and rest that afternoon was frustrated as I forgot to put off my phone. Normally, since I'm a very busy person I usually have some rest on Sunday afternoon. I used to put off my phone to avoid some calls coming in for any reason.

I didn't even sleep up to 15 minutes when my phone rang, hello! Mr. Douglas, this is Veronica, I'm in your office, I got your contact from your billboard, please I need your services, I want you to design a funeral invitation card of my late father and print for me. I need to share it to my church fellowship members in the meeting by 4pm today, please help me, the person that I gave the work just called me that he couldn't make it please. She pleaded on phone.

I couldn't turn down her plea, my customers' satisfaction is always my concern. I'm always out to make sure I provide solutions to my customers at any point in time. I derive joy when they are happy so, I gave her assurance to wait for me, that I'm going to do the design and print for her.

I quickly got up from bed, I had started sweating as the temperature was high and we don't have electricity light due to our transformer being faulty. I took my shower and dressed up, then rushed to meet my client in the office. I arrived my office by 2:30pm.

She was seated at my neighbor's provision shop while waiting for me. When I opened my office and started arranging stuffs, I brought my generator out to where I used to keep. Then she came in, the first thing that came out of her mouth was "Thank you for coming Sir, God bless you. I responded with Amen. She didn't waste time to bring her late father's pictures and the piece of paper where she wrote the information needed for the burial invitation card.

I offered her seat and gave her full assurance that I will deliver the job on time. I started the design immediately as she was like worried and wondered how possible I would meet up with the short time. By exactly 4pm, I was done with both the design and the printing of the card. She was amazed. I couldn't count the number of thanks and God bless you that came from her mouth.

When she left my office around 4:15pm, I went to the field near my office to watch football match between the female youths of Mount Zion Christ Church Vs the female youths of Christ True Gospel Mission. Though there wasn't much spectators but the game was interesting, both team played critically well. Just 20 minutes of the 1st half, Mount Zion Christ Church scored Christ True Gospel Mission.

When the match was close to the end of first half, a call entered my phone from my very good friend and mentor in steemit @megareigns. He said that he is in my office, that he wanted to give me some design and printing work.

I left the field back to my office to meet him. He gave me the job and explain how he wanted it to be. Though his job was not urgent we negotiated and agreed on the price and he transferred the complete amount agreed. He wanted to be sure he's free in terms of the cash concerning the job according to him. We gisted till 6:30pm.

When @megareigns left, it was already late and I didn't have appetite for solid food that yesterday so I bought bread and soft drink from my neighbor's shop and ate as dinner before I went back to my house and took my bath, logged in to steemit and voted some post before I slept.
