SLC-S25/W1-Movie Snapshots | Around The World Migration
My greetings to everyone, AssalamuAlaikum ( Peace be upon you) . While scrolling through Steemit, I suddenly came across a challenge post about movies. I watch a lot of movies , so this challenge seemed interesting to me. This is my first time participating in a challenge on Steemit. I really liked its title. Thanks @ruthjoe for organizing such a learning challenge, where we can write about movies outside our own language.

Talk about the main Idea of the movie
The main idea of the movie Migration is - "The courage to step out of comfort zone and face new experiences in life and adventure".
In this movie, a family of ducks - the Mallard family - wants to leave their safe and familiar environment and fly south for the first time. The father duck Mack is very timid and always wants security, he is afraid of change. So he does not want to put the family at risk. But mother duck Pam wants the children to see a new world, to have adventures. They start their journey towards Jamaica-but on the way they face various dangers, unknown places, new friends and many challenges. On this journey, they go far not only globally, but also mentally.

Describe the plot and setting of the movie.
The movie Migration is the story of a family of ducks who go on an adventure for the first time.
Mack Mallard is a devoted parent, but an overly cautious father duck. He wants his family to be safe at all times, so he is always alert to the world outside the familiar pond, and even when the pond water is low, he does not change places for fear that his family may be in danger. But Pam (his wife) wants her children to grow up, see the world, have adventures, and try to solve their own problems. Their two children, Dax and Gwan, are very enthusiastic, playful, and eager to learn about new places.
After much discussion among themselves, the whole family finally decides—this time they will migrate from North America to Jamaica.
On this journey, they first cross a forest and take shelter in a pond, but there they meet a duck killer bird, Erin. But Erin gives them a place to stay for the night and keeps them safe. The next day they start flying again, playing with the clouds as they soar through the sky. They cross the city for the first time, are imprisoned in cages, meet new birds, and encounter both enemies and allies. Here they meet Delroy, who takes them to Jamaica.
Mack realizes that life is not only about safety, but also about the beauty hidden in danger. In the end of the movie Mack thanks to Pam for opening his eyes about the world's beauty.
In the end, they rely on each other, overcome their fears, and complete a happy, courageous journey.
Setting
📍 1. Forest Pond
The movie begins in a forest pond—where the Mallard family lives. Safe, familiar, and natural surroundings—their "comfort zone."
🏙️ 2. City
On their journey, they reach a huge city. This is their first time in a city. Everything here is unfamiliar to them, so they are very careful.
🏝️3. Garden of Heaven
This was a bird sanctuary, where birds were taught freedom, yoga exercises, swimming pools, swings, trains were all there. Everything that could be in a park built for humans was here.
🏖️ 4. Jamaica (Beach Country)
The Mack family's destination, they feel very happy here, if they hadn't met Delroy, they might not have come here. It is a symbol of beauty like a dream country. But to get here, they have to go through a difficult path.
If you were the Director of the movie what would you do differently?
If I were directing this movie, I would probably make the character of Dad Mack look very brave, because we have always seen that, but in this movie, the director has shown very calmly that mothers are brave too. In this movie, the character Mack is always afraid, but where does his fear come from—because of some childhood incident? Because of old failures? I might have highlighted these that are not revealed here.
If I were directing this movie, I would have made the character of Pam more influential. Pam is not just a mother, she is a brave and visionary woman. I would have wanted her to make more decisions, take risks, and lead the family, which would have also prioritized women leadership in the family.
If I were directing this movie, I would have made Delroy a unique character, very experienced and a guide for the tourist birds.
I would show that when they reach Jamaica, they will see that there is more danger there—then they have to decide whether they will stay or return. This would deepen the moment.
I'm inviting my friends @olivia08 @kafio and @imranhassan to join this awesome challenge.
Thank you everyone for reading my post. |

Thank you for participating in this challenge of season 25.
I think I have seen this animation movie one time. It's cool. Cheers.
Sometimes the fear to take steps is just in our mind, may not exist(migration). I will check for the movie again.
Hello @ruthjoe, Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and for taking the time to review my post. I truly appreciate your kind words and the score.
I just noticed a small thing — the individual scores (3.5 + 2.5 + 2) seem to add up to 8.0, but the total shown is 7.5. It’s probably just a minor typing mistake. I thought I’d gently mention it in case you’d like to update it.
Thanks again for your support and encouragement.
