My Neighborhood Watch #87 - Reporting Events Around Us

I like sharing about the ongoing development wherever I find myself, my previous report was about the development that is ongoing at Lafia and I promised to share the one that is ongoing in Akwanga.

From Abuja to Markudi the road is extremely good and it is a double-lane road if you are passing through the road you would come across Tollgate which is now in operation. The governor of Nasarawa wants to ensure that his state has the best road, and crossover road in the busiest places in the town.

The same construction of a flyover that is going on at Lafia which is the state capital, is the same thing that is ongoing in Akwanga if you have traveled from Markudi to Abuja or from Abuja to Markudi via the road, you must have come across the construction of these flyovers.

In Akwanga, the work is seriously going on, at the site which you can see in the pictures. At the time that I visited the site in Akwanga, the engineers and contractors were on site working tirelessly to ensure the project was completed in May 2025.

Some were seen, constructing pillars, some were busy fixing rods, whereas some tractors were seen down leveling the ground. It is a massive project indeed and besides the construction of the flyover, there are also creating a double lane road that would like to Abuja, Jos, Lafia, and Wamba. It is going to be an interconnected road by the time the project is completed.
