"SLC-S25/W2-Movie Snapshots|Book to Screen (Life of Pi)
Do you think, an idea is better written as a book/novel or acted out as a movie? And which do you prefer?
I find it difficult to spend time reading books, but watching movies is so easy for me, as I can finish watching more than four movies in a day, but cannot finish reading one book in a day.
Books/Novel: are better for having deep thoughts, character development, inner emotions, and long journeys. Books let reader live inside the mind of a character and build their own world in their imagination. On the other hand,
Movie: is better for emotions expressed, visual impact, cinematography, and music, through acting. All these are combined to create beautiful moments in powerful, fast-paced ways. I can finish watching movies faster and understand the movies, but as for books/novels, I would have to read them over and over before I can understand.
Watch any movie adapted from a book or novel

Summary: In the movie, there is a young man whose name is Pi who survives a shipwreck and ends up stranded on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger whose name is Richard Parker. Both the book and the movie are stories about survival, faith, and the power of storytelling.
From the movie you have watched above, what can you say about the strength and weakness of the movie compared to the book/novel but if you have not read the book then tell us what captivated you the most in the movie and if you were to write a book on the movie how would that part be written to captivate the reader?
Movie Strength
Symbolism: The movie uses images and metaphors to capture the inner journey of Pi.
Visual effects: The stunning of the movie is good and the glowing ocean at night, the whale jumping out of the sea and the surreal island makes the surreal island.
Music and atmosphere: The score adds a deep tone that makes the emotion more beautiful.
Movie Weakness
In the book, the struggle of Pi was more detailed in such a way that one would understand how he suddenly changed spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
The book gives deeper philosophical and religious discussions about God, different beliefs, religion, and truth.
What Captivates Me
What captivated me in the movie was the time Pi takes his fear of the tiger and notices they need each other to survive in the ocean. It was not just a physical battle, but an emotional and mental awakening. Also, the relationship between animal and human, and that between faith and fear, was unforgettable to me.
If I were to write the scene
The sun burns like judgment that is above human, and the sea whispers secrets as shown below 👇.
Richard Parker lay in the shadows of his golden eyes, boat, yet watching and half closed.
I stared at home not as master or prey, but as a stranded soul
You keep me alive, and I whispered in a voice cracking like driftwood.
Finally, everything that I have said and that which I didn't say means to be human when there is nothing left but the will to survive.
I am inviting @joan-na, @woka-happiness, and @anthony002.

Great selection of the movie. Life of pi is indeed a great movie and I have watched it so many times. I think visual effect is the best strength of this movie. You know last scene of this movie made me cry. Good luck my friend.
Thank you for participating in this challenge of season 25.
Good choice of movie but I think you did not understand the last task well.
It simply says if you have read the book or novel where the movie was adapted from, then tell the strength and weakness of the movie compared to the book. But if you have not read the book tell us what captivated you in the movie and if you were to write a book on that part that captivated you how would you do it to capture your readers. Its either one not both.
