One of the things that make Steemit different from other social media sites is that Steemit is a blockchain social media platform that is built on steem blockchain to reward content creators and it is the first-ever blockchain social media to be built which is seen as the mother of all other blockchain social media platform.

Also, another thing that makes Steemit different from other social media is that Steemit makes use of a reward system (author and curator rewards) to reward everyone who takes part in supporting the content of an author. In Steemit there is Steem power, delegation, witness upvotes, and several other things that make it different from other social media sites.

On Steemit users earn rewards in two ways which are by creating post or by upvoting post. These two rewards are known as author rewards and curation rewards author rewards are the rewards that a user earns from his or her post, whereas curation rewards are the rewards that a user earns from upvoting another user's post. Also, besides earning rewards from creating posts, and upvoting posts, users can earn rewards from delegating their Steem power.

In summary, users can earn rewards on Steemit by: posting, voting and curating, vesting and purchasing Steem.

How does the community help content creators?

The community helps content creators by supporting and empowering content creators to earn rewards. Also, the community helps content creators by providing them with the means and tools they can use and create their own blockchain social media platform on the Steem blockchain network.

It helps content creators with finances by rewarding them with its digital currency which is the STEEM coin. The community is created to help content creators.

Why is blockchain important for Steemit?

Blockchain is important for Steemit because it provides Steemit with the foundation for its functionality, transparency, and Ns value proposition. Here I have shared more reasons why blockchain is important for Steemit.

  • Decentralization: Steoperateserate on a decentralized blockchain which is Steem blockchain ensuring that there is no single entity that has control over the platform. This helps to create trust and foster growth.

  • Transparency and Trust: Blockchain is an immutable ledger in which transactions and activities on Steemit like our posts, upvotes and rewards are verifiable publicly.

  • Rewards System: Steemit makes use of blockchain to distribute its crypto rewards which are Steem and SBD to content creators, and curators. Also, it allows users to own their content.

What do upvotes and downvotes mean for posts?

Upvotes mean giving support to a user's posts so that he or she can earn STEEM coin, whereas downvotes mean removing support from a user's post due to his or her involvement in plagiarism, AI, or cheating on the platform. When you upvote a post the post will be rewarded with STEEM, but when you downvote a post, the post rewards will be reduced which simply means removing your support from a post.

How can users get more attention on their posts?

Users can get more attention to their posts by writing quality posts and engaging with other posts. Also, users can get attention on their posts by promoting their posts to get wiser noticed.
