Greetings my dear friends of Steemit and Steem4Nigeria

It's always exciting to make post in a community like Steem4Nigeria. Before I start I would like to invite two fellow Steemians @zulbahri and @chiagoziee to participate in the contest.

Republic Day Parade at Red Road in Kolkata yesterday.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated in West Bengal with full enthusiasm amid hoisting of the national tricolour.

In Kolkata, Governor C. V. Ananda Bose hoisted the tricolor and presided over the march past of armed forces and police forces at Red Road.

A cooperative parade and procession with decorated tableaux portraying the state's culture and heritage were highlights of the programme, which was attended by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her cabinet colleagues.

Students from various parts of Bengal took part in the colourful programme.

Various developmental programmes of the government were also showcased in the parade.

The programme was attended by senior officials of Army, Navy and Air Force.

"Greetings to everyone on the occasion of 75th Republic Day," Ms Banerjee tweeted.

This time the Armed Forces of Indonesia joined the iconic parade with 160 members the Indonesian contingent. They moved and formed to march in tandem with the Indian contingent. Another 190 member contingent added a musical Dimension to the parade by showcasing the cultural aspect of the Indian military in coordinated performance over time.

Indonesia's president brao Santo is this year's Chief guest for India's 76th Republic Day Celebrations adding a diplomatic and ceremonial importance to the presence of the Indonesian military at the parade.

For this contingent it is the first time that Indonesia's army and a marching band has been present to perform on this Republic Day. Indonesia's president says as for our relationships between India and Indonesia, I hope that by being part of this Republic Day we could maybe improve our relationship and build a general stronger security and Global Security around the world.
