When friends betray me
Hello steemians...
Warmest greetings to you all I'm so delighted to participate on this amazing contest titled:"When friends betray me" organised by @ruthjoe in Steem4Nigeria community.
In your understanding tell us what you understand by the word betrayal?. |

Betrayal is an act in which someone whom you trust turns back against you or become disloyal and also exposed whatever both of you have in common on the past. Or is an act when your trust is violated from your best partner or anyone you trust dearly, and that's what betrayal is all about.
Have you ever been betrayed by anyone? Tell us what happened. |

Yes I've been betrayed couple of times;
I'm an entrepreneur, there's this boy I purchased a bike for him Bajaj Boxer, in an attempt to make him to become self employed, it's a hire purchase, the agreement was that every week he'll be remitting some money to me pending the payment is complete and he will become the owner of the bike, the first and second weeks no issues.

After some months he broke my trust, he came back and was crying to me that robbers attacked him and collected the bike from him, I felt pity for him, I wanted to go and buy new bike for him so that he'll continue from where he stopped, unfortunately one of his friend came and met me and told me everything, on what the guy did with the bike, that he went and conife with other guys to come and rob him and collect the bike to make it look like is a robbery attack on hearing that I became heartbroken. I had to order security personnels to arrest him until he bring my bike else he'll rot in that cell, somebody who I wanted to help and he now wants to stab me in the back. This is little from my story, and that incident made me to stop purchasing bikes for boys in my areas again for my own peace of mind, and to also avoid heartbreak.
We know that betrayal may lead to heartbreak, tell us ways to heal from such betrayal? |

Being betrayed makes someone heartbroken, but there are ways to bounce back, though is never easy, but is of great importance to leave the past behind and focus on the future.
One of the ways to get healed from a betrayal is to acknowledge your feelings, allowing oneself to feel the pain, anger and pains and let not your heart bother much, then you will surely find rest of mind and get heal from betrayal.
Secondly, set boundaries; it deals with trying to avoid the person who betrayed you, so as not to think back about the past occurrences.
Thirdly, one needs to seek support, meeting people who will give you proper orientations on how to take care of these kind of situations.
Finally, Practice the act of forgiveness, no matter how bad you were hurt but try to let it go and you will find peace, and also give yourself time to think on other issues which might keep you busy so as not to think about, what has happened in the past, trust me this steps will help an individual get healed from his betrayal.
How do you deal with people who have broken your heart several times?. |
---|
To be sincere I've been betrayed a lot of times and the way I react is I quarrel with the person and begins to keep malice which deep down I know is not good, forgiveness is the virtue, in other to let go or keep the pains away I practically I avoid such people, coz I don't what to be a victim of a second time by them, then I round up by forgiving, surely by that my heart will be at peace.
