"SLC-S25/W3-Movie Snapshots|Hidden Gems"

in Steem4Nigeria2 days ago
Hello Everyone !

I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. I hope you all are doing great in your life. Today, I am participating in "SLC-S25/W3-Movie Snapshots|Hidden Gems" organized by @ruthjoe in Steem4Nigeria Community.

As time goes by, we see many movies becoming famous and winning awards. But at the same time, some really good movies go unnoticed. Maybe because of timing, less promotion, or people just didn’t talk about them much even though they had powerful messages.

In this post, I want to share five such movies that I feel are hidden gems. They may not be very popular, but they are full of emotions, real-life struggles, and good lessons. I hope more people watch these movies and learn something valuable from them.

🎬 1. The Message (1976)

As a Muslim, I feel deeply connected to this film. It is one of the few movies that ti watched and helps me understand the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the beautiful teachings of Islam.

This film offered us a rare opportunity to see that journey in a respectful and powerful way.The Message was released in 1976 and is available in both English and Urdu. I found it on YouTube while searching four Islamic movies, and I was amazed.

Even though it is an old film, its message is still strong today. It shows the Prophet’s life from the beginning of his prophethood to the spread of Islam, the movie never shows the face of the Prophet (PBUH), buut still manages to touch our hearts by focusing on his character, his teachings, and the challenges he and his followers faced.

Unfortunately, The Message never received the appreciation it truly deserved. Maybe because it was made long ago, at time when social medias was not as powerful as it is today. Many people still don’t know about it, especially young Muslims.

I hope that more people watch this film and learn from it. It deserves awards and attention, and I hope more filmmakers create content like this respectful, real, and educational to spread the true message of Islam.

🎬 2. Mein Hoon Shahid Afridi (2013)

The second movie I want to talk about is "Mein Hoon Shahid Afridi." I watched this movie some time ago I I still remmeber all the scenes because it tells the story of a young boy who dreams of becoming a cricketer, just like his idol the legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi.

The boy comes from a poor family and faces many struggles. His financial situation is difficult, and there is constant pressure from his family to earn money instead of wasting time on cricket. His family wants hinm to support them rather than chase what they see as a useless dream. But in his heart, cricket is everything.

Despite all these hardships, he continues to dream. He works hard and saves money to buy cricket gear. A coach notices his passion and starts training him. With time, effort, and dedication, he transforms into a skilled player.

I got happy that In the end, his dream comes true. He becomes a successful cricketer and even gets the chance to meet Shahid Afridi in person the person who had inspired him from the beginning.

Why it’s underrated:

Despite being an inspiring story of hope, passion, and hard work, this movie didn’t receive as much apreciation as it should have. It was overshadowed by bigger budget films or action packed movies,x but the story it told was realz, relatable, and very motivating especially for youth who dream big but struggle with circumstances.

I highly recommend this movie to young people in Pakistan and beyond it teaches us that with courage and effort, dreams really can come true.

🎬 3. Jinnah (1998)

The third movie I want to share is "Jinnah", a powerful film based on the life of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. This movie touched me deeply because it showedd the true struggle and hard work behind the creation of our country. It is not just a film, it is a tribute to the man who gave us our identity, our homeland.

The movie follows Jinnah's life journey, starting that he faced many challenges not just from the British, but even from people around him. Some of his own colleagues turnad against him. There were betrayals, conspiracies, and endless obstacles. But still, he did not give up.

He continued to work hard day and night to awaken the Muslims of the subcontinent. He inspired them with his speeches and his dedication. He remindedd people again and again that we could have as separate homeland where we could live freely with our religion, values, and culture.

. People doubted him, and some tried to stop him, but he kept moving forward. His leadership, wisdom, and patience led to the independence of Pakistan. Sadly, he passed away shortly after the country independent but his legacy lives on in every corner of this land

Why it’s underrated:

Even though this movie is based on such a great personality and real events, it didn’t get as much fame as it deserved. Many young people in Pakistan have never even watched it. That’s a loss because this film can teach us so mucvh , not just about history, but about determination, sacrifice, and leadership.

I think every Pakistani especially ourt youth should watch this movie. It will make you proud of your country and help you understand how much struggle was innvolved in its creation. After watching it, I felt even more thankful to Quaid-e-Azam for giving us a country where we can live freely and with dignity.

🎬 4. Parwaaz Hai Junoon (2018)

The next movie I want to talk about is Parwaaz Hai Junoon, a Pakistani film based on the lives of Air Force cadets. About young boys and girls join the Air Force Academy and start their journey with big dreams and high hopes.

Theirs journey wass not easy. The training is tough, they feel demotivated at times, and many challenges come their way. But still, they continue to work hard with patience, dedication, and discipline. Their everyday life at the cadet college, the struggles they face, and how they overcome them with teamwork and support.

One thing I really liked was the film shows their friendship. Whenever someone feels down or struggles with something, the others help and encourage them. They stand together like a team and promise that they will never give up that they will reach their goal and become part of the Pakistan Air Force.

Their dream of flying fighter jets, serving ourr country, and making Pakistan proud. It is not just about action and flying their sacrifice, dreams, teamwork, and courage.

Why it’s underrated:

Even though it is a beautiful and inspiring movie, not many people talk about it. It didn't get as much fame or attention as it deserved, even though it carries such a strong message. I think it should be shared more so that others can feel motivated by it.

This is the kind of film that today’s young generation should definitely watch. It teaches us how to stay focused, never give up on our goals, and work hard even when life gets difficult. It made me feel proud of our Air Force and gave me motivation to stay strong in my own life.

🎬 5. The Breadwinner (2017)

The final movie I want to share is The Breadwinner, and even though it’s an animated film, it truly left a deep impression on me. I first saw some clips of it on YouTube, and they were so powerful that I decided to watch the full movie and I’m so glad I did.

An animated movie set in Afghanistan during the time of Taliban rule. It showed us how the tough life was for women, especially when the main character’s father is arrested and no male is left in the family.

At that time women weren’t allowed to go outside alone or work, so the young girl cuts her hair and disguises herself as a boy to support her family. She takes big risks, goes out to earn money, and even tries to find her father. Itwas a very emotional and inspiring story that shows us courage, love, and hope in hard times.

Why it’s underrated:

Many people have still never heard of it especially because it’s animated, and some people think animated movies are only for children. But this movie is not just a cartoon it’was a powerful story of survival and strength, based on real struggles faced by many around the world.

I think everyone, especially young girls, should watch this movie. IIt’s one of the most emotional and inspiring movies I have ever seen, and I hope more people give it the attention it truly deserves.

💡 What can be done to make these movies more valued?

In my opinion, these movies can reach more people and get the appreciation they deserve if we use the power of social media. Just like I discovered The Breadwinner through short clips on YouTube, we can create and share short videos, reels, and edits from these movies to grab attention. This way, more people will get curious and want to watch the full films.

Also, these movies often have powerful storytelling and lessons, so we should talk about them whether through posts, discussions, or storytelling on platforms like Instagram*, or YouTube.

Another great idea is to show these films in schools, colleges, and universities, especially movies like Parwaaz Hai Junoon, which talks about struggle, teamwork, and motivation.

These kinds of films can really inspire the younger generation. Teachers can play an important role by encouraging students to watch such movies, learn from them, and apply those lessons in real life..

S that's it from today’s blog. I hope you liked it. With best wishes. Now I would like to invite:

Thank you so much dear @ruthjoe for your kind review 🌸Yes, I did write about why The Message is underrated, but I didn’t add a separate heading for it. I mentioned in the paragraph how it’s an old movie, and that time there was no social media, so many people didn’t know about it and it didn’t get much attention. I really enjoyed this challenge.😊🌸🌼
