Watch a movie from a country other than your own country or not of your country's origin.

A foreign drama (Shadowed Thrones (DUBBED)) just appeared on DramaBox and it is so irresistible. It is not in my country, and this feature ensured its use as a nice candidate to look into international storytelling. The show abounds with a lot of stressful drama, competition of forces, and psychological twists which didn t make me switch off immediately.

Even dubbed, the emotions and performances were not felt fake and uninteresting. It brought new approach to the common themes as loyalty, betrayal and ambition. I will strongly suggest it to any person who is interested in reading other cultures dramas. Come and watch it with me here:

Talk about the main idea of the movie.

Shadowed Thrones (DUBBED) is a secretive and enthralling foreign drama that informs us of antagonistic relations of power of the royal family. The play is based on lies, avarice and ambition of becoming the king. As each group in the kingdom strives to be at the top, secrets are revealed, alliances are not always what it may seem, as loyalty is put to trial.

Each of the characters is twisted in his/her own way and that is why the plot is unpredictable and keeps one in suspense. The play shows how far the urge to acquire power can taint even a purest intentions. Shadowed Thrones is a dark novel with strong emotional associations characterizing the black side of politics and human will to possess power.

Shadowed Thrones (DUBBED) focuses on the two strong but emotionally complex characters:

Felix Young or rather the Supreme is one of the most respected and influential people and at the same time, he respectably stands behind his wife helping her to ascend up the ladder. His amicable and tactical attribute holds him one of the major influences in the politics and throne of power. But the thing that made him the strongest, that is his loyalty, acts as his biggest cut when the woman who gave him all her devantions betrays him.

Madison Xavier, wife of Felix, is another strong willed ambitious woman, who rises to the top position of War God. Through the assistance of Felix, and she becomes powerful and famous. However, at the time when she is the most successful, she does a surprising thing and files a divorce. Her behavior points at some secret intentions and triggers a series of clashes and retaliation.

Dejected yet not subdued, Felix pursues a mission to take back everything he ever offered her, his faith, his authority and the world he dreamt to be together with her. The struggles of these characters and their decisions on how to fight and attack others lie in the ever-engaging storyline of Shadowed Thrones, which is dramatized with betrayal, counter-attack, and desire to revenge.

Describe the plot and setting of the movie.

The word Shadowed Thrones takes place in a modern day power-driven world where there is ambition, betrayal and revenge. So the story line deals with Felix Young aka the Supreme who secretly assists his wife Madison Xavier to ascend to power. The sudden filing of divorce by Madison, a disciple when Madison is posted as the War God breaks the trust of Felix.

Felix feels betrayed and heartbroken and his journey of revenge starts as he sets out with a mission to take everything back that he had given to her.

If you were the Director of the movie what would you do differently?

As a director of Shadowed Thrones, I would explore more about the backstory of both Felix and Madison to make their choices more emotional. I would also insert several flashbacks to display their previous relations to emphasize the broken trust. Such would also enhance the betrayal even more.

Moreover, I would also increase visual symbolism, such as light and shadow as a symbol of power changes and emotional stress. Lastly, I would provide Madison with more inner conflict to demonstrate how she struggles between ambition and love and make both characters more relatable and the story even stronger and more balanced.
