The Diary Game// 02/09/2025: Garri Diaries: My Cassava Processing Adventure.

Hello everyone, welcome once again to my diary game at the village dated today 2/09/2025

Today I went to our farm to harvest some cassava. As I'm preparing for my travelling back to Uyo Tomorrow 3rd/09/2025. I have to prepare somethings which I will carry from my village, one of the most special items there is GARRI. Garri is funly called "a life saver". In this post am going to take you step my stem process of the garri production.

The road to the farm looks like a narrow escape. We had to cross a little water after trekking for miles, this was already a way too stressing already.

Firstly I woke up very early with my mom and my nephew, prepare and left to the farm for cassava harvesting. That was about 8am in morning.

Reaching the farm, we started harvesting the cassava, since it's still raining season, it was a little bit easier because the ground is still wet and soft. We had a good harvest, packed into bags and and carry it on our head from inside the farm to the main road where it is motorable for a motorcycle to transport it home for peeling and processing.

On reaching home, I started peeling cassava which was one of those things I enjoyed doing back then when I was living in the village.
I finished the peeling at about 5pm and washed then took it for grating and pressing for water removal.

That was the first part of my cassava processing to garri production, on my diary game for tomorrow 3/09/2025 I will be sharing with you guys the part 2 which is the final processing stage of the production. The sieving and the frying stage. I can do then perfectly well. Watch out for the next diary game.
