🕰️ What the Movie all About
This movie is not just regular time travel story. It’s really deep and It’s emotional. And it’s full of twists that will make someone to just pause and ask, “Wait ooo, what just happened?”
However This particular and interesting movie starts with a man (Ethan Hawke) who works as a time-traveling agent. His job was to move in and through time and stop a lot of crimes as soon as possible before they start to happen. And Also His biggest mission was to catch a terrorist called The Fizzle Bomber, who has killed thousands of people already in the future.
To complete this particular mission, he goes back in time and meets a strange person in a bar sitting. This person starts telling a life story that sounds unbelievable to him. The person says that he was born as a girl named Jane, but later became a man named John. Their life was full of pain abandoned as a baby, rejected from space training, and later betrayed by someone they really loved.
However,—this is where the movie really starts to twist my brain.
😳 The Twist That Really Shocked Me
As the story continues and goes on, i find out something that make me sit up. Jane was born with both male and female organs. So she was pregnant and after she as successful giving birth to a baby, doctors discovered this at her body and changed her into a man—John. But the baby she gave birth to was taken away.
Jane gave birth to herself. Yes, you heard that right. The baby was taken back in time and dropped at an orphanage home. That baby grew up to become Jane. Jane became John. And John is now the same person sitting in the bar telling the story.
But wait—there’s more twist in this movie.
The agent (Ethan Hawke) who is listening to this story? He is also John. Just an older version. And the terrorist he’s been chasing all this time? That’s also him—his future self who lost his mind at a point.
So in all, one person is the mother, the father, the child, the agent, and the terrorist. Everything is one big collection. No beginning. No end. Just one person caught in time.
💭 Why This Movie Will Touch anyone watching it.
This movie is not just about time travel. It’s Also about someone identity. About pain. About loneliness. Dear friends , just imagine yourself growing up not really knowing who you are, only to find out that everything in your life—your birth, your love, your heartbreak—was all connected to you and it's all you in different aspect.
Truth to be told,I must say that this movie acting is so real , emotional and interesting. In particular,Sarah Snook, who played the role of unisex which is Jane and John, really carried the movie althrough. I just feel the pain in her eyes and it looks so realistic. Ethan Hawke on the other hand also did a great job showing the confusion and sadness of someone trying to fix time but ending up losing himself in the Time.
🎥 My conclusion about this movie
Predestination is not a movie you just watch and forget as other movies. It’s the kind of film that will make anybody to sit down quietly after it ends, just thinking. You will just be reasoning the thing althrough. The twist is not just shocking—it’s emotional. It makes me ask deep questions about life, destiny, and who we really are.
