"SLC-S25/W2-Movie Snapshots|Book to Screen (Peter Pan)
Have you ever watched a movie and later found out it was adapted or gotten from an existing book or novel? When you found it out ,at that moment you can shockly say, “Ah! Wow!!!!So this so called story started from a book?” That’s exactly how I felt when I watched watch some movies gotten from books. This week, I want to share a story that was told in a book and also acted out in a movie.( Book to Screen).
Do you think, an idea is better written as a book/novel or acted out as a movie? And which do you prefer?
However,Some people all around the world might enjoy reading books because it allows them to imagine the characters and scenes in their own particular way. Also there might be Others that prefers movies because they bring the story to life with visuals, sound, and action. Personally for me, I prefer watching any idea in movie than reading it in books or novels.

However, this so call story I'm really talking about was originally created by a man call J.M. Barrie, and he was an author in Scottish, and very back in the early 1900s he created this sweet story.
Surely I must say that, these Peter pan story really talks very deep and well explained about a particular magical boy calls Peter Pan who refuses to grow up and be matured physically as normal people and he lives in a place called Neverland. Over the past years, this story has been brought into several movies, like the recent 2003 movie, which i have watched.
Strengths of Peter Pan Movie
The Visual: The movie brings these particular place called Neverland to life with it bright full colours, flying scenes, and magical creatures all moving around making it more realistic.
The Sound and Music: The background music and sound effects make the story more emotional at some point and also exciting at the same time.
Being Faster: The movie moves quickly, which keeps the people watching it engaged and busy and wanting to view and continue watching it.
Weakness of these Movie
Missing Details: However Some important parts of the book are left out or changed due to stress of making it or acting it. So they are Left and focus on other parts.
Less Imagination: Since everything is shown to the viewers there’s less privileged to start imagining things on our own way because all we could imagine as already been shown to us.
The Character Depth: The movie sometimes can't simplifies the characters, especially their emotions and backstories. Because it will be a very much and long hours of acting.
Strengths of these particular Peter Pan Book
It Descriptions: The book gives more details about Neverland, the characters, and their feelings everything well fixed .
Bringing Imagination: At this point anyone reading it as to get to picture everything in his or her mind, which makes the story more personal to the reader.
The Weakness of these Book
Slower to summarize: As for me back then when I read the book I find the book a bit slower, it took me a week to finally read to the end. These same things may happen to other readers especially younger ones. You might even forget what you read in chapters you pass by.
Old Language: Since it was written very long time ago, some words and expressions may feel outdated in the current language and tone.
If I Were to Write a Book Based on the Movie, what I'll do
However thinking of it if I didn't read the book already and I was asking to write a book from these Peter Pan movie, I would focus on the emotional side of the characters. For example at that particular time, when Peter Pan tried teaching Wendy and her brothers how to fly up, I would describe the feeling of the wind on their faces, the fear of them falling in the ground, and the joy they had of rising above the rooftops which they were. I would also add more dialogue to show Peter’s inner struggle in life—how he really wants to stay young forever but also feels lonely at sometimes.
But what I really love in these peter pan is that both in movie and book the main characters still stand out.

In summary about Book to Screen story or idea
However ,from my experience, I really say that telling story is very powerful whether it’s through a common written book or in the scenes of a movie. Peter Pan which is the book to Screen idea which I have read in a book and also watched in a movie is a perfect example of how a single story can live in many forms and still touches ones hearts. While the movie gives us the magic in motion, the book gives us the magic in imagination. And honestly, both are worth experiencing and partaking.
So, dear friends which one do you prefer—reading the book or watching the movie? Or maybe, just like me, you enjoy both for different reasons. Either way, the story of Peter Pan reminds me that sometimes, it’s okay to stay young in any good possible ways we can.

Thank you for participating in this challenge of season 25.
I don't think I have read this book but it seems like I have seen a similar movie as this. Weldone!
@emishael60 I like both books and movies. Books help me imagine the story but movies show it with pictures and sounds. Peter Pan is a great example of both being special. Thanks
