Hello Steemit friends, welcome to my blog

What do you understand by the word hospitality?

Hospitality is an act of acceptance and generosity a person gets or gives to a friend, stranger or guest, making the person who receives this act feel comfortable, valued and welcomed. Hospitality is not offered only in personal settings. It can also be seen in commercial settings such as hotels, events, restaurants and offices. When a person is well treated with respect and value and comfortable, it leads to repeat visits, patronage and referrals.

In the world where sometimes the "helper" becomes a "victim," should we still show hospitality? What's your take? Explain.

Showing Hospitality most times comes with risks that one needs to be mindful of. Show help in any way you can; I will say follow your instinct when helping people; don't be blackmailed to help once you feel unsafe to help, don't help. Learn from any bad experience or mistake you have made before as a result of helping.

Choose when to accommodate or help people, and create boundaries when showing hospitality, especially to people you don't know, for your own safety. My take on this is not to stop showing kindness to people but to be mindful to avoid danger and mistakes.

Have you ever received unforgettable hospitality from someone? How was it? And why is it unforgettable?

Yes, I have when I went for a 2-week job training in a different state I had never visited before. My mum called a woman she knew in that state; I had never met this woman before. When I arrived, she came to the bus terminal to pick me up with a good gesture. On our way to her house, she talked and explained things to me and acted as if we had met before. She made me feel so free with her, and the children acted the same way, too.

I have never received such hospitality in my life from people I have never met before. They were so generous and accommodating that we blended so fast. With the way they treated me, it was a happy stay with that family.

They made me realise that good people with genuine hearts of kindness and love still exist; I pray they always come in contact with people with the same heart in return.

Do you consider yourself a hospitable person ? State instances.

Yes, I am very sensitive about how people around me or people I come across feel. That has made me notice most times when they need assistance or a shoulder to lean on. I am also ready to hear a person out when you are ready to talk about a bothering issue. I love helping people, and I feel bad when I can't help.

However, I have offered helping hands to different people on several occasions. But I am a careful person; I work with my natural instinct on who to help and accommodate.

When showing hospitality to people, how should it be done? Tell us.

Showing hospitality can be done anywhere, not necessarily bringing the person to your home; you can offer to help by giving a person your seat in a public place, paying a person's bill, buying a hungry child food, and helping people around with their needs before they ask for help. Do all this with a smile and genuineness. You can also follow up or check up on people you have rendered help.

Pay attention to a person to show hospitality; some people just want you to give them an audience. While you hear them out, you can also help out with a good solution or word of advice which will help their mental health.

When showing hospitality to people trade with caution and mindfulness. No doubt there are nice people with the same energy as you, and there are others who prefer just to take advantage of your good heart.

I invite @bela90, @mkgirl77 and @chommygift to participate in this contest.

Yes friend, hospitality can happen In anyway just as you mentioned, in as much as we are on the planet earth, we will need someone to show us hospitality as such, we should also know that thousands are out there looking to our own hospitality too. Making them feel love, value, smile should be everyone concern.
