Steemit, Steem and Steem-atlas Promotion on WhatsApp Social Media and Mentoring Newbies

Still on the move of promoting Steemit on X through my posts on Steemit, promoting steem through claimed steems in my wallet, teaching and mentoring newbies on steemit and non-steemians on how to use steem-atlas map, mentoring the newbies I signed up and giving Steemians in Steem4nigeria tips on how to improve their contents, judging from the one they post.

These are all the activities I carry out to make steem reach the ears of those who are unaware of it. I'll start from my mentorship with these newbies I signed up and their progress levels so far. It's interesting to know that these 4 users I signed up have been verified and they have been undergoing mentorship that's why there was a lag in their blog. They need to understand the etiquettes of the platform to avoid making mistakes or getting implicated. After ensuring they are being verified by acknowledging and verifying their identity, I created a group where I'll teach them using text and voice messages to their understanding.

The first thing I taught them was how to post in a community as most people make the mistake of pressing the pencil icon to post. I made the same mistake and unfortunately for me, I was disqualified from the contest I wanted to participate in. Why*? I posted on my blog thinking it's a general place to post. It's not bad if one posts to his or her blog, I stated but when it comes to contests, you have to be more focused as to where you're to post and the rules of posting.

These were the basics I taught them before moving over to the etiquettes governing the platform. I emphatically stressed the importance of originality on Steemit as Steemit supports original contents. The use of Ai and Plagiarised works doesn't make it original in any case. It's actually a serious crime to generate content by using Ai or copying someone's work without sourcing it. I gave them plagiarism and Ai checkers to use when creating contents before posting on the platform to avoid cases of such offences.

The driven aspects of how bad plagiarism and Ai are rung rules in their minds. I can remember using licensed Google photos some years back on steemit until it was stopped. I told them it's no longer permitted to use Google photos because most of them aren't free images. I then gave out links for this purpose. After stressing this with a comprehensive guide on how to get these free pictures and source them. After the class, I gave four assignments for them to work on which were inclusive on the four lessons taught.

The feedbacks were positive because the understood the whole lesson and submitted their work on the group and in my direct message. Seeing they understood the tutorial, I took to giving them tips on posting though not formal tips as that segment is coming. Just wanted them to be active while learning.

I gave out a post for everyone to work on and it was a contest. Only @elijah247 did the assignment. One isn't verified yet and this is understood. Two complained about network issues in posting since they are in the village. They wrote it down but before they could post, the contest already expired.

Anyways, it's part of the training. I told them the essence of promoting Steemit with their posts on X and they took that as a note.

My newbies are;

Promoting steem coin on X is what I resolve to do on X as many out there don't know the importance of holding steem coin. They could actually see fit in investing on the coin as one can earn other than just waiting for the price to increase. The market being bad is a chance to invest and gather more as the market may take turns soon.

The use of claimed steems in my wallet helps promote this coin and how investors can earn by just holding the coin in their steemit wallet. They get curation rewards daily and also earn if they vote on people's posts. This is my promotion on X......

As of yesterday, I did the honours of adding a few users on video call to tell them about #steem-atlas, a project hosted by @pennsif and his team and why they should also support this project. I showed them how to pin locations on the map and also did tutorial that evening with other Steemians I'm Mentoring. Guess what? They understand the video I made and got the locations through pin codes. These are screenshots on how I did this and made explanations clear. Someone I mentored even started using it. I'm trying my best to reach out to Nigerians to support this project.

I gave a few tips through comments to Nigerians who create posts in 3 different communities so they can improve the quality of their posts. I can remember when a user made a comprehensive guide on how to make quality posts on Steemit. That still sticks to my head and I'm using it to help those who lack the knowledge.

In all, I would say my aim is to help as many Steemians out there either by bringing them onboard or by helping them become original writers.
