Greetings and welcome to my blog. As the year 2025 beautifully unfolds, I bring us the 33rd edition of “The Green Spotlight.”

For those who are new to my blog, the Green Spotlight is a weekly blog where I review inspiring and interesting books which is geared towards motivating steemians to imbibe the habit of reading.

Readers we know are leaders especially when we practice the wisdom we glean from the books we read. The essence of this review is to give us a smidgen of what the books are all about and with that motivation and inspiration, we decide to get the book either in a soft copy or hard copy to go through it.

It’s a new year and one of the good virtues we can imbibe this year would be virtue to become an ardent reader. Having said that, let’s dive into the review for the week.

If you missed our last edition on “Waiting and dating”, you can find it here, Edition 32

Well, thinking of a great way to start the year, let’s look at this interesting spiritual book that was crafted from a very interesting story of Queen Esther in the Bible “The Esther Anointing”.

My opinion about the book “The Esther Anointing”

Introduction/Theme

The Story of Esther in the Bible is a very interesting story that told about how an orphan girl in slavery rose to become the Queen of Sushan. It’s a story that inspires me every time I read about it and the lessons to be learnt from it is something that’s applicable in our lives for both men and women.

Let’s look at some interesting tips to take away from the pages of this great book.

Key points from the chapters

  • The first lesson to learn from this book is the fact that there is more to each and everyone of us, sometimes we are tempted to look down on ourselves because of our background or where we are coming from or because of some issues we have been through in the past.

We must all know that there is more and no matter what we have been through and where we are coming from, we can be all that God has ordained for us and more. It all starts with our perception of ourselves.

  • To be successful and fulfilled, you would have to understand divine purpose and destiny. There is something each and everyone of us have been destined to fulfil and achieve. Understanding of this would help us know the paths to thread and to avoid. Life revolves around purpose.

  • For you to fulfill your purpose in life, you have to be prepared for it. When preparation meets opportunity, success happens. This preparation is both spiritual and also self development.

  • In the midst of your preparation, you must embrace courage. You must be courageous to face the challenges that would come your way and avoid fear. Fear cripples faith and you would also need others to face your fear. She needed Modeciah and other Jews.

  • She mentioned the need for strategic positioning and the use of wisdom in leadership to accomplish purpose and the need to acquire a passionate heart to be able to intercede for others amongst other beautiful points which are worthy of note.

My rating of the book

A unique book I must say on this topic and the blend of taking this all time story and putting it to us is beautiful. I give it a rating of 8/10.

Conclusion

Destiny calls and there’s no limit to what we can do. The Esther’s anointing is a call to both men and women to rise up to the challenges of destiny and become all we can be. If she can, we can.

Thank you for being a part of this week’s edition of The Green Spotlight. Your thoughts are welcomed on the comment section and hope to see you again on our subsequent editions.
