Contest Alert: Your Losses in Life
Assalamu Alaikum,
Hello everyone,
I am @afrinn
From #Bangladesh
.Assalamualaikum How are you all, Alhamdulillah, I am well and healthy. I have presented a post about what I have lost in life. The competition was presented to us by @bossj23 sir. I am very happy to participate here.
What have you lost in your life that made you cry or hurt? It can be animate or inanimate. Describe your experience.
I lost something valuable in my life that made me cry a lot. My married life has been going on for eight years. My father-in-law chose me to be his daughter-in-law. Today I have spent 6 years with him. My father-in-law was a very kind-hearted person. He loved and adored me very much. It is never possible for me to forget him. I never thought that my father-in-law would die like this. But Allah Almighty has set a fixed time for everyone. So it is never possible for us to confirm the time of death of a person. This person can die at any time. However, the moment of my father-in-law's death still makes me cry a lot. The day my father-in-law died in the hospital. When I heard that my father-in-law had died. This moment was a very bad time for me and I cried a lot.Which reminds me of a lot today.
Did you blame yourself for this loss, or did you have to lose that thing? How did these losses affect you?
There were only four people in my in-laws' house. When my father-in-law was there, there were five. He gave us shade like a banyan tree. I never blamed myself for this loss. Because it is normal for people to die. It is very difficult to accept. When my father-in-law apologized to all of us again and again. And he told us again and again to take me to the hospital. We all took him to the hospital. And after taking him to the hospital, the doctors sent him back. After coming home, he was fine for a while. Suddenly, around 3 am, he died. Honestly, when I remember that night, tears come to my eyes. Because a father-in-law is like a father. That is why I loved my father-in-law like my father. When my father-in-law passed away, I had nothing to say. And now I feel like I have lost something and have suffered a loss. Having my in-laws at home is like a banyan tree. And they always try to keep us well. I could not forget the loss of my father-in-law's death today.
Have you been able to forget the past, or are you still suffering from the pain of that loss?
I have not been able to overcome my past now. My father-in-law has been dead for two years. I loved my father-in-law so much that I still cannot express the pain of his loss. And I saw him as a father. So when a child loses his father, the child can never forget him. My mother-in-law died that night, it was a dark night for me. And after losing him, I understood what a father is. So I pray to Allah in the month of Ramadan that my father-in-law may attain Jannatul Firdous. And may Allah grant him Jannatul Firdous. And I always pray for him.
What advice would you give to those who have lost something or someone valuable to them?
I will give them one piece of advice. The one who has lost a valuable thing knows exactly how much pain it is. When we have a valuable thing, we rarely understand its meaning. And we do not know how to appreciate a valuable thing. When the valuable thing is lost, we start to feel what we have gained and what we have lost. Before my father-in-law died, my father-in-law became very worried about going to the hospital. Then we went to the hospital very quickly with him and started to serve him. Still, we could not bring my father-in-law back. But we have to believe that whatever Allah Ta'ala does to us is for the good. And with this hope, every person shows the way forward. I will also tell them that if you have lost your valuable thing, keep comforting your mind. And think that Allah may have taken this thing away from you, but may He give you something better than it. Anyway, these were some stories from my real life. Sharing something about what I have lost. So friends, stay healthy and be well, may Allah Hafez
