A death premonition? Not a blessing. I can't imagine living with the fear of dreaming a dead relative, only to find next morning that someone else joined them.
I'm sorry about the suffering of your family in WW2. I used to hear similar stories from my late grandmother during the partition of Indian subcontinent in 1947.

Nah, I don't want to (have to) be afraid of dreaming either. Has happened with me now once. Well, just a few weeks ago I couldn't dream about a dead mother. I will observe this more closely... gulp
Oh, I'm afraid, everyone who has people in the family who have experienced a war will be able to tell of sometimes very sad, also very cruel fates. It is important that we (grandchildren of war participants) and later generations never forget this, so that such a thing never happens again - in any part of the world!
