INTRODUCTION

Hello steemians in steemit health community,today is my first day in this community and i will be sharing with you guy's the dangers of drug abuse and its effect in our society and how it can be prevented .

MEANING OF DRUG ABUSE

Firstly,drug can be simply defined as any liquid substance taken into the body which ulter the rate of changes in the body,while drug abuse is the illegal use of drugs without any prescription given to you by a doctor .

EXAMPLES OF DRUG

Drugs are for people who are sick in the hospitals or at home, but some people have become addict to drug and
they can't live without using drugs,example of these drugs are cocaine, marijuana, heroin, tobacco, cannabis, caffeine, nicotine, cigarette and others .

DANGERS OF DRUG ABUSE

Drug is not just cocaine,heroine,cannabis,drugs are also alcholic drinks,self medications and others,
when a teenager or an adult take over dose of alcholic drinks, it always result to drunkenness and when they are drunk they won't be aware of what they are doing which can be named as a temporary state of madness .

Drug abuse is a serious problem in our society today because when drugs is abuse or misuse it can lead to addiction,injury,accident,health problem,sleeping issue and others, when drug is misuse it can cause brain loss either temporarily or permanently,it can affect people close to you including your friends,families kids and unborn babies because when drug i misuse in pregnancy it can cross the plancenter and made an impact with the developing baby .

PREVENTIONS

Drug can be prevented by taking advise from a doctor before taking any drugs,avoiding temption and influence of peer pressure,knowing the risk of drug abuse and living a well balanced life,and with the help of God one can change from being an addict .

Drug is not bad to take but one should be careful on the way he or she uses drugs,when every individual take or use drug accordingly to the prescription given to them by a doctor or a chemist, the society will be great and everyone it it will progress,thank you .
