The basic concepts about recession in economics
Hi there! Today I would like to talk about 'The recession' which can be considered a disaster in the economy where people fall into a situation and are bound to lose money for various circumstances in their investments. Life becomes harder during the recession.
We know that a recession is a significant decline in economic activity that lasts for an extended period, typically two consecutive quarters or more. It is a macroeconomic phenomenon that affects an entire economy and is characterized by a drop in gross domestic product (GDP).
Also causes rising unemployment, declining consumer spending, and a contraction in business activity. Recessions can have significant economic and social consequences and can last for several months or several years.
The most common cause of a recession is a decline in consumer spending. When consumers lose confidence in the economy, they tend to reduce their spending, which can lead to a decline in economic activity. This can result in a slowdown in production, a drop in sales, and an increase in unemployment.
Another common cause of a recession is a decline in business investment. When businesses lose confidence in the economy, they tend to reduce their investment in new projects and expansion, which can lead to a decrease in economic activity. This can result in a reduction in employment, lower wages, and a decline in consumer spending.
The Great Recession of 2008-2009 is an example of a severe recession that had significant economic and social consequences. It was caused by a combination of factors, including a decline in housing prices, a subprime mortgage crisis, and the collapse of several large financial institutions.
This Great Recession led to a significant decline in economic activity, with the United States experiencing a 4.3% decline in GDP in the fourth quarter of 2008 and a 2.8% decline in the first quarter of 2009. The recession led to significant job losses, with unemployment peaking at 10% in October 2009, and a decline in consumer spending, which had a significant impact on the retail sector and other consumer-facing industries.
To combat a recession, governments and central banks may implement various policies aimed at stimulating economic activity. One common policy is fiscal stimulus, which involves increasing government spending on infrastructure projects, social programs, or tax cuts to increase consumer spending.
Another policy is monetary stimulus, which involves reducing interest rates to encourage borrowing and investment. Central banks may also engage in quantitative easing, which involves buying government bonds or other securities to inject money into the economy.

Nice post. The Great Recession of 2008/2009 was named wrong. It will not be great compared to what is coming. What is coming is around 20x the problem. The main problem last time around was as you mentioned large financial institutions. This time it will be the largest German bank and Credit Swiss bank. Followed by government failure of Japan and Italy then the European Union break up. Currently they are all insolvent and hiding the true accounting in the name of National Security. Hence the Great Reset coming. Own some silver and crypto to hedge. Within 1-3 years it will come down. Good luck with the Military Style Financial Transition to quote King Charles Dec 2021/Jan 2022.
It’s going to be rough. Hey … you still have $400 sitting in your Blurt.blog ( another 2020 Fork from Steemit) … like Steemit but no downvotes. I’m over there also…. https://blurt.blog/@greenman
Hey thx for pointing that out and reminding me. I also seem to have lost my tokens over at Hive fork - darnit.
No problem … if you ever post on Blurt I can give you some nice upvotes… I have about 1.5 Million Blurt over there mostly from Curation. It adds up fast. You can trade your Blurt for Steem or Bitcoin etc … on https://Ionomy.com.
Thanks for advice. I will look it up. Want to trade my blurt for steem? Or maybe the other way around I may be interested in getting rid of my steem for BTC.
I am doing very well with my Curation rewards on Blurt so I will just maintain what I have there…. It’s easy to earn 1,000 Blurt day (just from Curation… no posting required) and trade for Bitcoin on the dips on Ionomy.com … I did the same with my Steem and Hive… converted to Bitcoin and bought a VW Golf and 2 kayaks …. To go camping … now I’m saving up my Bitcoin to buy 10 acres land on either Lake Superior or Huron. To build my Offgrid Log Cabin.
We stay in a Teepee in August …..
Also bought a Jackery and some Solar Panels to run a 12 Volt freezer and a few other appliances
Beautiful.
Do you ever make it out to BC? Are you in Ontario?
Yeah… we are here in Ontario. Near Algonquin Park. Haven’t been out to BC in years. We travelled there one year for a summer camping trip. Hope to make it back out there some time with my kids.
It’s still snowing out here …
This is my dog Lola on the Rideau River.
Beautiful area and dog. Stop in if you are in BC. I am in Grand Forks Kootenay Boundary area.
We try to spend the summer up on Lake Superior or Lake Huron.
Sunset on Superior:
North Channel, Killarney, ON Georgian Bay
Not our boat, … we have kayaks.
Beautiful. Do you know much about NFT i.e., have you any experience creating them?
Yes…. I created a few NFTs on Wax and HiveNFT and also looked at doing some on OpenSea and other places but after looking over the costs and gas fees to post these realized that the only people making money are the platforms and the people who can trade your Artwork for 10 Ethereum down the road … or to their friends … the Artists make very little and spend thousands in Ethereum, Wax, Hive to post their artwork. I do much better just sharing my artwork process videos on YouTube Shorts, Steemit, Blurt, Hive, Dtube, HideoutTV and then convert all my crypto to Bitcoin on the dips on Ionomy.com
I make about $10 a day on YouTube Shorts… infinite income
My son and I are Working on a new Jaws type movie later this summer….
Filmed from the kayaks. Trailer …
Once again beautiful. I have an artist I want to put up his collection to NFTs. https://www.facebook.com/people/Archer-Airbrushing/100066450641639/
I don't want to do the work. I want about 50 of his works put onto a collection with OpenSea. Would you know best way to find someone to do that and at what cost each?
I know 2 artists that were posting NFTs on Opensea I believe …. I will ask them their advice / opinion … @adelepazani and @ultravioletmag
I also asked MaxwellMarcus over on Hive …
https://hive.blog/hive-108278/@maxwellmarcusart/the-two-of-us-digital-drawing
Update: wow… I checked out his work on Instagram. It’s incredible.
He would do very well here on Steemit and Blurt.
I checked out Archer Airbrushing artwork on Facebook. It’s excellent … I’m waiting to hear back from a few people about Opensea ….
So far nobody has replied.
Honestly from my experience I think your friend would do much better just sharing photos of their art work here on Steemit, Blurt, Hive … and short videos on Dtube….
I earn a lot of DTC on my short videos on Dtube… are you there ?
https://d.tube/c/offgridlife88
I could create a blog for them on Blurt to try ?
@archerart ?
If you had lots of Blurtpower you could also support their work their … and on Steemit and Dtube
Dtube is also traded on Ionomy …
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dtube-coin
It seems like most Artists prefer to earn Crypto via Steemit, Blurt etc…
I agree..

@greenman How about we set up a Steemit Blog for Archer and post his Artwork and reward his work so he can see how it's done ? I can set one up and send you the keys ? And we can show him how to post ... or i could post for him... with Text from his Instagram ... His work is Incredible ... He has years and years of Content to share... probably millions of photos of his work. People are especially interested in the Process and work in progress ... He probably has millions of Videos too.
Excellent idea! Yes, Archer is a legend he has an amazing loyal following. He spends his summers in my city and I have offered to work with him for his digital world. Please set it up on Steemit and Blurt send keys to both him direct and myself as his backup. You are an artist as well so use your discretion on set up name etc.. I will advise him you will reach out to him for his Instagram work etc. He is always online so one of us will need to show him or his girl friend (tech support) how to post. Connect with him here: [email protected] [email protected] 778-533-2724. My full name is Paul Collin if you chat with him let him know I asked for your involvement/help/advice.
my email is [email protected] for those Archer keys
I think about it. Following the mistakes can lead to the mountain of mistakes and bring equivalent amount of problems.
One thing make me wonder that is in my country 'Bangladesh' its a small developing county but economically pretty strong (35th position). What does not make sense to me instead of fighting against inflation the government injected 4673 Millions of USD to the economy and all these fiats are printed in the central bank.
