Here, because we are almost a mile in altitude and the mountains are up to ten thousand feet in the area around this valley, it can snow or get cold in an instant. Usually it is around April 8th and June 18th is when there is no danger of frost or snow. Meanwhile, Sometimes in the middle of August it can freeze or snow. I agree with you they don't really know causes these changes or to perfectly predict the Weather.
