SLC S23 Week1 || Geometry with GeoGebra: Points, Lines, and Angles...
Hello sir, How are you? it's me @fazal-qadir. This is my first attempt on any software application to find anything in geometry section. Even I don't know how to record videos. Help me how to record video on GIF. I hope you would highlight my mistake and help me to do better next time. |

Task №1
What is geometry? When and why did it appear? How did you study geometry in school? Were you familiar with any geometry software?
Geometry is a branch of mathematics deals with different fundamental like points, angles, lines and different shapes. It's oldest fields of mathematics. It's origin cme from islamic civilization reach to the Greeks period.
I studied geometry through different tools , liker ruler, compass. Protractor, set square, graph papers etc .
No, I don't familiar of any geometry software. I will try it for the first time. Let's see how effectively I will learn.
Task №2
Explain different geometric primitives (point, line, angle, segment, ray) and illustrate them in GeoGebra.
POINT
Point is a dimensionless shape, which do not have any length or width. Also it does have axis (x,y) which we called 2D and axis(x,y,z) which refer to 3D.
It is donoted by a capital letter like A,B,C.
Sometime it is represented as dot(.).
if we join two ponts it will make a line segment.
LINE
LINE
A straight line which has no end point. It could be extend forever. We put arrow on both end of the line , which means that line is going further and not stopping at any point.
In coordinate geometry line is represented by a formula:
Y=mx+c
m is slope,
X represent the horizontal line and y represent the vertical line, c is y-intercept where x value is 0.
ANGLE
When two lines comes from one point it makes angle . Or we can say when two lines originate from common point also makes an angle. That common point is called vertex.
The value of angles varies, depends upon the distance between the two line.
Angles are measured in degrees (°) or Radians (rad).
SEGMENT
A line segment is part of line , which have two end points. Like if one point we take as A the other end will also be know can give any name Like B . AB AND BA could be a line segment.
Ray
Ray is line which has only one end point and the other point do not have any end point we put an arrow on that side , that is called a Ray.
Task №3
Construct an arbitrary angle, then extend one side to create a supplementary ray—show that the sum of adjacent angles is always 180 degrees.
Construct an angle with two supplementary rays—show that the resulting vertical angles are always equal.
Task №4
Construct parallel lines and perpendicular lines.
Construct two lines intersected by a third line (a transversal). Label the angles on the figure (using letters, numbers, or colors). Name the pairs of angles that have special names.
parallel line
Perpendicular lines
Name of angle | coordinates |
---|---|
Vertical angles | (1,4) (2,3)(5,8)(6,7) |
Corresponding angles | (1,5)(2,4)(3,7)(4,8) |
Adjusent angles | (1,2)(3,4)(5,6)(7,8)(1,3)(2,4)(5,7)(6,8) |
Task №5
Construct the intersection of two segments. Ensure that the intersection point is always displayed, even if it does not lie on the segments themselves. If the intersection point lies outside the segments, represent this with dashed lines.
As I demonstrated here.

I will invite my three friends.

Best Regards,
Take your time, one more week. In each of your answers there is no main - (gif-animation/video).
on this gif animation I showed how it should be in the answer to problem 5, "two line segments must intersect always
See this example:
Okay sir I will try my best to learn how to make Gif video. And will make video of each section. I have made the videos of few question but they are not allowing me to share the video . 🙁
No grade?
@sergeyk sir I have completed most of the part. All I am facing is unloading gif file . Most of the file is not uploading showing error, that's why I used YouTube as a source. Hopefully you will accept it. I solved the problem 5.
