I had cooked delicious gram pulse with fish heads
"I had cooked delicious gram pulse with fish heads".
This is Gram pulses curry. These Gram pulses I cooked with fish heads. We usually eat fish head made with mug dal or other pulses, but today I cooked fish head with gram pulses. I have never eaten with gram pulses with fish head before, but it tasted very good to eat.
However, at first I peeled some Gram pulses, washed them well and soaked them in a container for 4-5 hours. After that, when the pulses are well soaked, we pour the pulses in a pressure cooker and cover the mouth of the pressure cooker with a lid with adequate amount of water. Then I boiled the pulses well with 3-4 whistles in medium to low frame. Then after the stalks are boiled, I spread a fish head with salt and turmeric and fry it in a pan with a little oil and put it in a pot. Then I put a pan on the stove and heat it well and add enough mustard oil and after the oil is hot I add cumin seeds, dried chilli and two medium sized onions and fry it well. When the onion is soft, I put 2 tomato paste in it. I mixed the tomatoes in a mixer at first, but I had to cut them into small pieces. However, after that I add salt and turmeric to taste. Then I fry the spices well with cumin powder, coriander powder and chilli powder in it and I add the ginger and garlic paste mixed in it. Then I fried it all together well. If you don't fry it well, the raw smell of ginger and garlic remains the same. Then when it is well fried, I break the head of the fried fish in it and cut it into pieces and keep the head well tanned with spices. After it is well tanned, I mix the boiled Gram pulses with the spices and the fish head and cover it with adequate amount of water for a few minutes. After a few minutes, the lentils became thick. In fact, I lifted the lid, mixed it with cinnamon powder and put it in a low frame on the stove for a while. (Gram pulses can be melted in a vegetable or not, I have melted here). It tastes very good to eat with hot rice.
