Sunday is literally Super Sunday. In the men's final of the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic defeated Danil Medvedev of Russia 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 to win the Australian Open nine times in his tennis career.
But he is also at the Rod Laver Arena. The Serbian Joker has won nine times in the final of the Australian Open. The victory saw Djokovic win his 18th Grand Slam.
Djokovic's two closest rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, have both won 20 Grand Slams. Medvedev and Djokovic have a lot in common. Giving this all a quick read, it seems we are pretty much in agreement.
The same goes for mill backhand returns. Novak's wrist twist in the forehand is a bit high, so tennis pundits were hesitant in this final. But Djokovic maintained his dominance from the start, winning the final by beating Medvedev in a straight set.
Djokovic raised the trophy and told his opponents not to look at the outcome of the match because Daniel Medvedev was one of the toughest opponents I have ever played with in my career.
Djokovic also told him that he would win the Grand Slam very quickly, but that he would have to wait a few more years. Because he joked that I hadn't retired yet, so he had to wait.
Looks like the Joker got it done and won the Australian Open
