Robber Fly (Assassin Fly)

Robber fly is well known as a predator and it is also capable of killing the prey by injecting a fluid into its victims. This reputation has made it known as an assassin fly. It stays under the family Asilidae in the order Diptera. It seems to be quite confident in taking care of the prey all by itself. So, here are my pictures of robber fly that I took a day ago outside of my house. Actually, it's been a while I did not see it around, and I did expect to find it there so when I found the right moment, I decided to take some pictures from 45 mm distance range.
