Contest: A Dream Gift for My Mother by @umbayangelica12

Hi, beautiful people of Steemit Nursery! This is my first post here. Since May is a special month for mothers, I just want to take part in this contest because I have a lot of dream gifts for my mother. Thank you @anasuleidy for initiating this kind of contest.

This is my mother. Growing up, I have seen her joys, sorrows, anxieties, and sacrifices for us, her children.

Because I am the eldest and my mother gave birth to me at a young age, we're like sisters or even best friends. By the way, the boy beside me is my brother who is 14 years younger than me. We can even share our deepest secrets with each other. She is my number one fan, my refuge, and my fortress. The only person who believes in me when no one else can. No one can ever surpass the love that my mother has given to us. She may not be perfect as a person yet with all the love and warmth which she made us feel, she is and will always be the best mom.

We may not be rich but because of my parents' utmost support and efforts especially my mother's nonstop advice and prayers, I was able to graduate college, get my professional license, and have a stable job right now. What I really dream of for my mother is to make her genuinely happy. As she always says, seeing us achieve our dreams is her happiness. As her daughter who has witnessed her struggles, I want to give her more. Back when I was little, I wanted my parents to experience the things that we couldn't afford before such as traveling to places, eating out at a well-known restaurant, and renovating our humble home particularly her favorite part, our kitchen.

Family Date on a Sunday at Lantaw Floating Restaurant, Cordova, Cebu

Eating out with my family at a famous restaurant was one of my goals when I was a student yet during that time, my studies and its expenses were the topmost priority. Gladly, I have treated my family once in this restaurant. Everyone's so excited for our first-time experience. I am looking forward to more family dates with them.

Osmeña Peak Escapade last May 1st

My mother got thrilled with this escapade. She was hesitant to go because she thought that she couldn't make it to the top. Luckily, she's courageous enough to overcome her fear and reached the peak with us at her age. I'm so proud of her.

As of the moment, with God's mighty grace, He allows me to do these things for my parents, for my mom. With the tremendous sacrifices she made from the day that I have conceived her womb until now, these gifts are just nothing. I am still working in progress to achieve all the dreams that I have for her and for my entire family.
