It's okay to ask for help
What is depression?
Being depressed is not a crime, succumbing to it is where the issue is. It happens when you least expect it.
Depression is that friend you never invite to a party, yet as they step into the room, they crash your party and dim the light.
Once the people at the party see them, they frown, their faces already aware of the havoc they come with.
It's not just about feeling sad, it's more than that. Depression makes even the smallest task a lot of work.
Depression makes you doubt everything you do, making it seem like you're incapable of having good things work for you.
You will find yourself questioning your worth, imposter syndrome will hit you, feeling isolated even in the midst of a crowd, and lacking the emotions to make an effort. Here, the things that often make you happy no longer do that for you.
Have you ever felt depressed? If so, what did you do to get out of depression?
As I mentioned above, depression is not a sign of weakness. Here, it's important to talk about it and talk to people. If you're introverted and can't talk to people, write it down in a book. Being depressed is not a stigma, regardless of what people say about mental health.
Usually, when I'm depressed, writing becomes the therapy I need.
Gratitude also helps me. Reflecting on what I'm grateful for in my life has helped me a lot. Even the small things can make life more bearable.
Do you know someone who is currently experiencing some symptoms of obvious depression? What do you think they should do to overcome this disorder in their life? Can you try to help them overcome it?
Handling depression can be quite challenging. These are some strategies I have that can help overcome it.
Seek professional help by connecting with a therapist or a Doctor who can provide medical help to deal with the matter.
If your daily activities are chaotic, establish a routine. Create a daily schedule that will bring a specific structure to you. Your schedule should include activities that make you feel better at the end of the day, not feel crappy. Having a structure and being consistent will give you a balance.
Engage in physical exercises. It will help you refocus your mind towards better things. There's a popular saying, "An idle mind is a devil's workshop". Keep your mind occupied with things that build you mentally and physically, not destroy you further.
Never think you're alone. Connect with friends and families. Let them help you support you, carry the burden and deal with the situation.
What do you think about this phrase?: Depression is very silent and its purpose is to end the life of the person who suffers from it.
Depression is a silent struggle a lot of people face. That everyone you see smiling doesn't mean everything is going well with them.
That's why it's important to practice kindness to one another. You can never tell what someone is going through.
If you keep quiet about what you're going through, you'll die slowly.
But while it's overwhelming, you don't have to let it define your purpose or your entire existence.
That's why you must discuss it with people. So you don't fall deeper into feeling sadder for yourself. You don't have to feel isolated. Yes, you might not feel heard or seen among the crowd, but being with people will make it much better.
Reaching out to people or being in a community that will help out is a sign of strength, not of weakness.
As individuals, it's also up to us to make it easy for people with depression to handle it.
Avoid using harsh words on people online. Avoid bullying others. Rather, we should help themselves feel better talking to us.

Muy buenas recomendaciones, la depresion es tal cual como lo describes, invade nuestro ser y se instala para aislarnos de todo aunque estamos rodeados de muchas personas.
Exitos y que Dios te bendiga.
Being surrounded by loved ones help a lot. Thank you very much for your kind words.
Depression at any stage is bad. One thing I avoid so much is getting depressed, that's why I employ smiling and letting go of hurts always so that I won't get sick.
Anyway, depression is avoidable if we surround ourselves with good and loving people, learn to forgive and heal from previous hurts.
