How often do you meet the people you expect the least in any place? Well, here is my story.

I attended a boxing tournament for high school athletes in the highschool I went to back then. I was an amateur boxer and I've come to the national tournament in high school and won silver medal.

My high school teachers did not forget that and them knowing I cater coaching athletes and boxer wanna be, they hired me and the athletes went to the municipal meet. Boxing is always exciting for me and it feels very wonderful to meet my co boxers and coaches especially meeting the new generation of amateur boxers.

The photo above shows me, Andrew, also a boxer and now a coach and the new generation of amateur boxers.

I was not expecting anything or anyone but there I met two of the people I expected the least to meet.

Meeting TaliBong

TaliBong is one of the sons of the CMU professor who kept us in when I trained in Maramag, Bukidnon and they wanted to make sure we, boxers are safe and let us reside in their place for a while. His brother was our Trainor but they are a very close family and they are all very nice to us. TaliBong is one of the boxing coach I other school and so we met in the division meet. I was very happy meeting him there.

I also get to meet with Kerl, a college student who once lived in my mother in law's house and we got close and he was like a brother to me. Kerl is my brother in law's nephew and they told him to live here because they will send him to school but that was easier said than done.

Soon enough they grew tired of giving money and the poor boy was almost always out of allowance for school. Good thing he was very interested in finishing school and worked as a fastfood crew part time.

Kerl is now a graduating student and he recently asked me to help him get his form137 in his senior high school as a requirement for his graduation soon.

Meeting people in the least expected time and places is very nice especially when that particular meeting gives you a wonderful opportunity to help and reach out of the people you were once connected.

I'm also grateful for my wife for letting me attend this kind of events and get wonderful opportunities.
