Diary of Day 17/10/2024 : Embracing Digital Nomad Life and Homemade Bread

Hello friends of this amazing community,

I never forget about you, so today I want to share a page from my diary about how I spent yesterday — a very busy day. Since I decided to embrace the digital nomad life, I sometimes find myself in the morning preparing something good for the day, while also taking care of some household chores.

I woke up early in the morning to prepare dough because that way I can turn on the oven in one go. I can bake both breakfast items and bread, which I always try to make from time to time without having to buy it. This has become a task that's never routine, and I now do it almost automatically.

Then, I took care of some laundry to help my wife, and also because it’s quite simple and makes life much easier.

Meanwhile, the delivery guy came with a few interesting packages, including something I’ll use for traveling, which I’ll probably show you in the coming days. I managed to get it at a much lower price than it was in August.

Later, I took the things I had prepared out of the oven, and I’m really happy with the result. Learning to make bread wasn’t easy, but homemade bread has a completely different taste. I also prepared lunch. Pasta is never missing in my house, and it’s a dish I always love to make — and, of course, to eat! Even though I’ve gained a few pounds recently and should cut back on carbs, it’s hard to resist.

In the afternoon, I drove out to take care of some errands, and unfortunately, while using my dad’s car, I got a flat tire. But as you can see from the picture, thanks to a small pencil, I managed to get to the mechanic and get the tire fixed.

Finally, before the flat tire, I had the chance to stop by a dear friend’s place. He runs a small bar where he prepares Sicilian treats, and he had already made frutta Martorana, which is a Sicilian tradition usually made around the time of the Day of the Dead — which will be here soon in Italy.
