Actsofkindness : Free Health Services for the Underprivileged
Today is a blessed day in our village, especially for the underprivileged. At the Kemilau Posyandu, free health services are being carried out for the elderly and toddlers. This activity is a real form of attention to the health of the village community, especially those who need basic services but are sometimes constrained by costs and access.
atmosphere at the health service post
In the morning, residents began to arrive, bringing their toddlers or accompanying their elderly parents. Health workers consisting of village midwives and integrated health post cadres swiftly welcomed and served the residents in a friendly manner. The examinations included measuring the weight and height of toddlers, checking blood pressure for the elderly, and basic health consultations that greatly helped the community in knowing their general health conditions.

In addition to examination services, the Kemilau Posyandu also provides additional nutrition as a form of nutritional support for participants. Toddlers and elderly who come get a simple but useful nutritional package, in the form of bread, green bean porridge, boiled eggs, oranges and mineral water. Although it looks simple, this nutritious food means a lot to them, especially toddlers in their growing period and the elderly who need a balanced intake.

This activity not only provides medical services, but also becomes a means of friendship between residents. Mothers exchange stories while waiting for their turn, children are seen playing around the integrated health post, and the atmosphere feels lively and full of warmth.
Our village government together with health workers continue to strive so that activities like this can be carried out routinely because the benefits are so great for the people of my village. This program is also proof that concern for others can be realized through real action and cooperation from all parties, both the government, volunteers and the residents themselves.

Hopefully, free health service activities like this will continue and more villagers will benefit from it. Because health is a basic human right, and with a healthy body we can all live a better and more enthusiastic life.
