Actsofkindness : Free health services for the underprivileged
This June, our village, Gampong Blang, continues to demonstrate a high commitment to the welfare and health of its citizens. One real form of this concern is the provision of free health services routinely, which is carried out almost once a month at the village hall. This program is an important part of efforts to improve the health of the community, especially for vulnerable groups such as toddlers, pregnant women and the elderly.
This free health service is open to all villagers, regardless of economic background. Every month, health workers from the health center together with the integrated health post cadres are present in the community to provide health checks, immunizations, vitamins, and education on nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Toddlers receive weighing services, height measurements, immunizations and the provision of nutritious additional food. Pregnant women receive pregnancy checks, consultations and education on preparing for childbirth. Meanwhile, the elderly are also given blood pressure checks, sugar checks and consultations related to elderly health.
This activity is not only a routine service, but also a means of friendship and education between local residents. Many mothers come early while bringing their children, chatting and sharing information about their children's growth and development. The elderly also seem enthusiastic and feel cared for because their health is monitored regularly. The atmosphere of the integrated health post is always warm and full of togetherness.
This free health service is very helpful for the community, especially for those who have limited funds for medical treatment. With this service, residents feel calmer because their health conditions are monitored regularly. Especially for pregnant women and toddlers, routine check-ups like this are very important to prevent stunting and pregnancy complications.
This program also proves that collaboration between the village government, health workers and the community can have a big positive impact. My village government, namely Gampong Blang, hopes that this activity will continue to run consistently and even be improved with more complete facilities in the future.
Through posyandu kemilau gampong blang believes that health is the main foundation for building a strong and prosperous village. We are proud to have a free health service program that directly touches the lives of the community, and will continue to maintain the spirit of mutual cooperation and social concern in making our village healthier and more independent.
