The environment around us consists of people, animals, birds, plants, etc. Animals are an important part of our environment. The importance of animals and birds in maintaining environmental balance and the food chain is undeniable. However, for various reasons, these elements are currently on the verge of extinction.

Our Bangladesh is in a very beautiful geographical location. This land or terrain is an ideal place for animals and birds. However, it is currently being observed that many animals are on the verge of extinction in our country as well. One of those animals is the crow. When we were children, we used to see a lot of crows living in our village. However, these animals are no longer seen today.

Crows are found in many countries around the world. Crows were especially common in South Asian countries. It is believed that crows came to Bangladesh from the territories of India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. This species of crow spread to our country, Bangladesh, from these countries at different times. Also, some studies suggest that these animals were spread from different lands by ships at various times during the British rule.

Once upon a time, a species of animal was abundant, but today, this crow is rarely seen. One of the reasons for this is environmental pollution. The habitat of this crow has been disrupted due to polluted environment and deforestation. Also, people have killed these crows at different times for different reasons, as a result of which we don't see many crows in Bangladesh now.

Our country has animal and environmental laws. According to the Animal Welfare Act 2019, killing and torturing animals is a punishable offense. Anyone who commits this offense will be punished with six months imprisonment or a fine of ten thousand taka, or both.
According to the Wildlife Conservation and Protection Act 2012, there are strict restrictions on killing, capturing, trading, and hunting any animal. Anyone who commits this crime is liable to a maximum prison sentence of seven years.

It is important to comply with state regulations and be aware of the safety of animals and birds. We should all be kind to animals, take care of them, and look after them. Otherwise, these animals and birds will become extinct from the environment, which will have a very bad impact on our environment. Therefore, it is important for us to be very aware of this.
