Drama at the Coffee Shop

Everyone must have an unforgettable experience while hanging out at a coffee shop, including me. From exciting chats to silly incidents that make everyone laugh. But there was one incident that I still remember until now because it was so absurd and almost made me lose my patience.

What Happened?

That day I went to my favorite coffee shop to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. I ordered my favorite black coffee and sat at a table near the window. The atmosphere was very comfortable, until suddenly a man sat at the next table and started doing something unexpected—making a call with an incredibly loud voice.

Why Did This Happen?

Whether he was unaware or did it on purpose, his voice was so booming that everyone in the shop could hear the contents of his conversation. At first I tried to ignore him, but the conversation grew increasingly absurd. He was arguing with someone on the phone about the price of a goat for sacrifice.

When The Ridiculous Moment Was Official

As we talked more and more I enjoyed it more. More and more of the other customers started chuckling, holding their snickers. I nearly spilled my coffee when I heard one of these old timers ask, "If the goat could laugh, is there a discount?"

How Did I and Ourselves React?

The people at the shop stopped and began looking at each other stealing subtle smiles or laughing loudly (plaster on some faces). I did my best to look serious, but I couldnt stop grinning. Especially when the man argued about whether white-haired goats were more expensive because they were "cleaner and more sacred."

Where and Who Was Involved?

All of this happened in a small roadside coffee shop, where I often stop for my afternoon coffee. In addition to the man with the loud voice, there were several other customers who witnessed this incident, including a barista who almost dropped his cup because he was holding back laughter.

Finally, after about 15 minutes of talking at maximum volume, the man hung up the phone with a long sigh. He looked at all of us and said, "Goats are expensive now, huh?" The whole shop immediately erupted in laughter.

That moment taught me one thing—sometimes, the best entertainment comes from unexpected everyday events.
