Here is my entry,👇

  1. figure of speech a word or phrase used in a non-literal sense for rhetorical or vivid effect.

  2. irony: this is a figure of speech that is the opposite of the real word

B)Alliteration
This is the countinious use of the same consonant sound at the beginning of two or more words on the same line.

C) Metaphor
A contracted smile whereby, the two dissimilar things or persons which are only similar in quality, are fully equated with one another without using words like 'Like' or 'As'. This becomes a direct comparison. The two things compared should however not belong to the same class.

D) personification
E) idiom
F) hyperbole
G) paradox

  1. pun: a joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there are words which sound alike but have different meanings.
