Cooking has always been my Hobbit and I explore cooking every day I want to share with you the sample cooking skills of egusi soup
Every woman in a kitchen is a warrior and a true believer in what she is doing all you need to do is give her the correct ingredients and expect the best I know that we have individual differences when it comes to cooking but I'm sure everyone literally give he or her best at the end of the day.
Egusi soup is one of the richest soups in Africa and you can find it across The Nation because of its nutritional value to our body growth and development here today I want to take us on a different dimension of cooking egusi soup there is egusi soup that when you are eating you can perceive egusi aroma on it and that is why some people don't like eating egusi soup but in this particular methods if you try it properly it will give you a better taste and aroma at the end of the day,
The following is the list of my egusi soup ingredients
- egusi
- crayfish
- meat
- red oil
- pepper
- onions
- onions leaves
- and water
step one
I boil the meat I bought from the market with Maggie and I keep it aside then I pound all the ingredients
Step two
I boil only water then I put the hot water on the grounded egusi and mix it properly then I squeeze it into the water that is boiling and cover it after putting 3 cubes of Maggie so that it can maintain its taste
This method is sweet and simple because it helps you to steam out the egusi aroma that seems to disturb other people from eating it but this method helps a lot of people who are not eating egusi to start eating from my restaurant
Step three
After boiling I bring it down then I put it aside I put an empty put with red oil with the pounded pepper onions and crayfish I put One cube of Maggie in the red oil then I allow it to hot for 5 seconds depending on the fire level then I put the meat water and the boiled egusi without mixing it I cover it and I allow to boil for 30 seconds
Step four
This is the final stage and that is why I say this is simple and easy I add a little water with Maggie with a little mix then I comrades I allow it to steam with the water and Maggie finally I add the onion leaves
I always like my egusi soup in green colour and that is why I use green leaves to beautify it at last after putting the onion leaf I bring it down immediately because I don't want the colour to fade away and the test is delicious and yummy you need to have a taste of this meal
This meal can be consumed with different kinds of swallows, such as fufu, eba, and midi.
