Progress Report On 'A Child, A Million Smiles' Project: A Car Ha Been Purchased

13 days ago, I announced that this project will be starting by next year January. This is partly to enable the executor to be able to get the necessary things ready before hand.

One of the major things to get ready is the vehicle. As we all know, getting the best and suitable vehicle in terms of efficiency and economy is not easy especially if you are not going for a brand new one. Since when the steem for the purchase of the vehicle was made available by @steemkidss, a search was on. Messages were sent here and there for assistance.

@goodybest's husband was also contacted because he is a dealer. He told us the ones he had. The prices were very well above the budget. But he asked us to come to his vehicle stand and still check. @benton3 went and checked and then saw one that is both efficient and economical but it was few thousands above budget.

I, @ngoenyi, was invited to come and check it out if I would be able to go for it. Well, upon getting there, I saw the vehicle I checked and it was ok and can suit the purpose. But we had to bid and bid for the price until we're arrived at the price we bought it.

Through, he just sold that vehicle to us because of Steemit relationship and being of the same faith, else, that vehicle can't be bought at that price. Finally, the 15000 steem that was sent for this purchase by steem kids and parents community was sold at N370 per steem to purchase the vehicle at N5, 500,000 ( five million, five hundred thousand naira only) and that is $3125.

This actually purchase value is below the estimated purchase amount as was announced on our first publication here. This is really a good start. We leveraged on the little increase in steem price.

What brand of vehicle was purchased? It was a Toyota Corolla brand. Check the receipt below for confirmation

We are very grateful that the dream of this project is really becoming true.

What is left is for the autoreg to be done that will change both the plate number and the papers to ngoenyi 's name. And then the flex will be printed that will always be used to brand the vehicle each time we are going for the execution. This is because we may not be able to do full branding of the vehicle due to cost.

We therefore await @worldsmile through the manager, @el-nailul to get set for the food sponsorship along with steem kids and parents community come January when schools will resume in Nigeria.

We pray for a successful execution of this project and that the kids be able to smile as a result. We can't wait!
