Today, I went back to my school life to participate in the contest of the respected admin @ngoenyi ma'am. I was in class six or seven at that time. I was the first boy in the class. As such, I had a lot of responsibilities in the class. In the absence of the teacher, I was maintaining the class.
No, I did not teach any class, nor was I given any authority to administer anything. My job was to note down any boy who misbehaved in the absence of the teacher and inform the teacher. That was all my responsibility.
But I often abused my power. I forced the students in the class to do as I said. Even if I came late to school, I would not let anyone sit in my seat. That is, there was a seat reserved for me. If the students who were good at my class had any notes, they had to give them to me.
My classmates knew that if I did not get along with them, I would make various false accusations against them to the teacher. And the teacher would believe me and punish them. That’s why they were a little afraid of me. If I said anything, they would believe me.
I had a great addiction to games. I used to come to school quite a while before school started. I cannot finish telling you how many games I played with the boys in my class, from throwing balls to hitting each other.
One day while playing like this, I pushed my classmate, and he fell to the ground. Blood came out of his mouth. They took him to the doctor. He had to have two stitches put on his lips.
Later that day, his father came with my classmate. He wanted justice from the principal. At the right time, the principal called everyone who was playing with me in the class. I brought everyone to the principal, sir. I was scared just by looking at Sir's face. I understood that a terrible danger was waiting for me today.
Sir asked my classmate who pushed him.
I kept remembering Allah in my heart. I know that if I get caught, my parents will also be called. That means I will be punished in school, and even if I go home.
My classmate looked at everyone's faces. He also looked at me. I made a gesture to say sorry and made a gesture to apologize to my friend. I don't know if he understood my gesture.
Now he looked at Sir and said - No one here pushed me. I was surprised.
Sir asked him again - Then who pushed you?
He said Sir, I didn't see.
The case became a lot easier. I got over my fear. But Sir didn't want to end the case here. Now, Sir looked at me.
He asked me who committed this crime. I said - I don't know. But I have been very negligent as a class captain. Now he wants to punish me by bringing me under punishment.
I said sorry to the sir. And I promised never to come to class and play again.
I got scared and cried and said sorry again.
I don't know what kind of expression appeared on my face, but when I said sorry out loud, the sir felt pity. He gave me a size. But he didn't forget to give a warning.
I was saved from a severe punishment. The friend I pushed and threw also saved me because I said sorry. Again, I was saved from the principal's punishment by saying sorry.
Even though "sorry" is a small word, I felt the enormity of this word that day. If I had not said "sorry" that day, I would have faced severe punishment, which would not have been good for me. But the word "sorry" saved me that day. And I felt the enormity of this word.
I invite three of my friends to join in this contest

I love how you could remember something that happened years ago.

@steemkidss, thank you so much for reviewing my post and your valuable comments.
This story is very interesting. Frist I love the fact that you are bold to tell us how you managed the power given to you.
Second, you have acknowledged that you were wrong and you apologized.
Thirdly you have realised how important sorry is.
The truth is that your classmates are very kind too. If it were in this part of the world, all of them would have exposed your abuse of power to your sir.
In any case, sorry truly saved the situation. I want to believe that going forward, you didn't misuse your power again, right?
