The Diary Game ||23/7/2025|| matching for our late course mate

Greetings great steemians hope everyone are doing well, Yesterday was Wednesday 23/7/2025 I woke up very early in the morning around 6:30 am, I give thanks to God for life using 15 minutes, after that I do my morning fitness exercise doing only 20 push up after that I take a glass of water for that moment my done the exercise.

now I go through my phone to check the information that has been drop in our department WhatsApp platform, the first message a saw was the reminder that today is the day everyone agree to match for our late course mate who pass away last week Friday due to bad illness.

This was the time I arrive at the school gate to meet my colleagues for the matching farewell.

It was a devastated news to our department the moment our course representative announce that the guy was dead, this is the same person that informed our department concerning his health issue saying "he has been suffering too much on his health that his parents has spend money buying drugs from pharmacy shop for him to take but yet still his not ok" that is why he ask for help from the department saying he need to go hospital for proper tests and treatment.

So the department promise to give him #50,000 naira for him to add with what so ever that parents have to take him to the hospital for proper treatment, with immediate effect everyone in our department was ask to contribute whatever you have to show love and support to him then after like 2 days the money was completed and been sent to his parents for his treatment.

After a week he send letter of appreciation to the department appreciating the support that we given to him, and he also say his getting better and will start coming to school as soon as possible. Just after a week we heard he as pass away, left the hold department so heartbreaking what a tragic news.😢
According to the family He was buried the next day and the department was not aware but God knows better it is well.

His sister is the one on blue while the brother is the fair boy in front of the sister

This is why our course representative announce that the department will match for the guy because any department that lost their course mate have to match for the late person with his enlargement picture, it happens we did the matching for the guy his name was kuyik edet,
During the matching his siblings came arrived and join us during the matching for their late brother the sister was crying bitterly feeling his brother, I don't know if it happens for you to lost someone you love or your closet person how will you feel emotionally.

I was present during the matching with some of my colleagues though not everyone turn up for the event due to some distance there lived, Most of them came after the matching.

After the matching we gather in our faulty to have some words to say about him and gave him A minute of silence, then some people contributed some money to the family. The department and the university management send a condolence message to the family of late kuyik edet may his soul rest in peace.🤧

As you can see the atmosphere was for him everyway was cloudy and slow raining

That was the remaining things the department was to do for him, he is the only one we lost in our department since we start school from our Year 1 now we are in year 2 about to write our second semester examination my prayers is for God to take away wasted effort in our life Amen.🙏

We was to have a practical after the matching but it was postponed due to some condition. To be honest I didn't really feel happy yesterday due to the feel I have for the our late course mate but it is well, after spending the all the time yesterday in school I return home around 4:40 pm looking for what to prepared and eat that evening I eat rice and beans after then I take my bath and went to bed to sleep an take some rest after today's stressed.
