Wednesday – What is the correct sentence? – Mini contest #15

Hello SteemKids and Parents!

English is what they call a “global” language. Truer than this, you cannot get.
As a language, it has borrowed extensively from other languages.

Let’s look at a few examples:

From our Spanish friends:
• Patio – outdoor space (courtyard)
• Siesta – afternoon nap
• Canyon – a deep gorge

From our Italian friends:
• Piano – musical instrument (from "pianoforte")
• Pizza – popular dish (that you don’t eat with pineapple on (•ิ‿•ิ))
• Opera – a dramatic art form

From our Dutch friends: (which includes me)
• Yacht – a type of boat
• Coleslaw – a salad made from raw cabbage
• Cookie – a small sweet baked good

There are plenty more examples. Even from our Chinese friends, “ketchup.”
I am sure you did not know this one.

It is clear that we are indeed heading to a record prize! It is now standing on 10 STEEM and 20 STEEM if you have written a post.

The contest

I am going to give you a scrambled sentence that you must unscramble. In other words, by using all the words, you must place the words in the correct order so that they form a sentence that makes sense.

How to participate?

• You can reply to this post by posting your sentence, or you can write a quality post of 300+ words with the sentence in it. By writing a post, you can double your earnings if you are a winner.
• You can only enter once

What is up for grabs?

The first correct answer will take home 10 STEEM and if you have written a post I will double the winnings and you can take away 20 STEEM.

Just to be fair, the correct answer is send to the admin of the community prior to the start of the game.

The sentence and the winner will be announced next week on Wednesday; therefore, make sure you don't send in your answer later than Tuesday 23:59 UTC.
If there is no winner, the prize will increase by 2 STEEM each time until there is one.
