Hello kids and parents!

What an interesting week we had on the guessing front this week!

Let’s take a closer look at last week’s clues and how to reason to get to the answer.

1. It is a 12-letter word starting with “B”
The reasoning: Okay this is easy, a word that starts with a B and it consists of 12 letters.

2. It is a compound word
The reasoning: It is one word that is made up of two or more words.

3. It can be human or animal
The reasoning: Okay, not too difficult, it can breathe.

4. They can be in command or territorial
The reasoning: Command can be human. So, who is in command? My first thought is somebody that is in the army or police.
Territorial, can be human or animal but we mainly read and hear about territorial animals.
What will be a common word for someone that is in command and something that is territorial? Maybe commander, leader, or even master?
How many words are there with 11 letters that start with a B and include the words commander, leader, or master?

Okay, I found a word but it is only 10 letters. What if I make it plural? Whoop whoop! I have an 11-letter word.

And the word is… “BEACHMASTERS”

The game “I spy with my little eye” is sort of a detective game. The “spy” is the person who sees something and the rest of the players must then guess what the spy is seeing.

Of importance, it must be something that you can see and not something you can feel like an emotion.

BUT, “I spy with my little eye” is so much more than just a spy game;

• It is a thinking game
• It teaches you how to use your logic and reasoning and
• It grows your vocabulary
