RE: Questions about "Juvenile Delinquency" by @madilyn02
Hello thank you my friend, David. I'm happy to read from you again.
For the question you raised, I'm not sure, but I can say that everyone should be given equal right to education. I haven't been denied of this either , and that is because my country now understands the value of girls education.
It's true that sometimes, the boys do much harder work than the girls but if everyone receives education, there will be better helping hands, the girls can do the ones they can do to assist the boys.
The focus on girls education you talk about may be due to the fact that the girls were denied of it before. This is all I can say, I hope it contributes a little to your questions.
I invite @ngoenyi, @patjewell, @goodybest, @eliany, @mariajruizb, @event-horizon, @frankingcol to this discussion
In South Africa we have a huge problem regarding education in general, no matter if you are male or female.
Education in the public schools are not on standard and if you want to give your child the best you have to pay for it. This saddens me! 🙁
On university level there is even a bigger problem, discrimination against the colour of your skin. And this makes me cross!! 😡
This sounds really intense, the part of prejudice for the skin color is saddening. I didn't know this was the situation there.
Here children also pay money for education, but there is no discrimination for skin color or any other thing. Just that the fees can get really expensive if standard education must be obtained.
Another challenge here is lack of job opportunities for students who graduate, I hear that government provide jobs for their citizen in other countries but here in Nigeria you have to fight to get a simple job. Because of this, most people get discouraged and even drop out of school
Same old story in South Africa... 9 million people without jobs of which 70% is youth.
How sad!
Dwelling on your response makes me echo your feelings. There can be no satisfactory solution there. Any Canadian government funding made available to South Africa would not be accessible for people with white skin.
Since December I have written posts with links to resources to immigrate to Canada. Refugee status is denied to White South Africans.
Hello friend, greetings! I'm curious about something here. Why do you say that Canadian government funds will not be accessible for White skin people in south Africa
It is the reality of numbers.
Even though aid should be accessible to all, there isn't enough money to reach everyone.
This is something I didn't think can happen, I guess I always thought that the blacks are treated worse
Return to Slum Britain
This picture was taken in England in the 1960s. At the time, three million people were living in poverty.

In the USA 20.5 million "white" people and 8.58 million "black" people live in poverty. It isn't that one group of people is treating another group worse (although there is a tribal thing going on in Africa). Poverty is a trap. If you have a bucket of crabs, you can leave it uncovered because the crabs cannot escape. Once one crab almost escapes, the rest pull it back. The lady who had her store robbed the other day is a good example. She was succeeding and thieves wanted what she had.
What makes me FURIOUS is those that graduate that cannot get jobs in South Africa, no matter the skin colour. We have over 400 new doctors who cannot jobs but South Africa will pay Cuban doctors to come work in our country! It just doesn't make sense.
There is a strange brain drain going on worldwide. If any of the four hundred are interested in coming Canada, here is a link to the Canadian Board that regulate doctors in Canada.
With regard to brain drain, I am the type of guy that if Canada ever exiled me to Antarctica, the average IQ of both places would rise.
Thank you for your reply @madilyn02. I expect you will be graduating from secondary school shortly. What will you do next? I mentioned to your aunt @ngoenyi that maybe Steemit classes could be offered to younger people. It would be an unusual school. The students get paid to attend. People who have completed the Cryptocurrency course can attest to that.
If a student learned for an hour, how much would that be worth? Would $0.10 or $0.20 per hour be a good reward? Presumably at the end of the hour, the student would create a post and then the teacher would give them a vote. How much does a teacher earn per hour in Nigeria ($0.64 per hour)? Could the teacher write a report for the performance of the students and receive $1.00 as an upvote from the school? At the end of the day, what would a reasonable earning be for the school? What would be the overhead be for the school: Rent, Utilities, Maintenance, etc.? Could an assembly of communities upvote a report from the school to earn it $50.00 daily?
This paradigm would certainly turn education upside down.
This is an amazing idea and I'm sure it will work out if we are able to do it. The funding is going to be a bit of a problem for my aunt now, I guess:)
After replying to your aunt last night, I actually ended up staying up and am just now getting to sleep. I am willing to invest in the project so your aunt can continue to build equity and not touch her Steem.
I have asked her to hold off deciding on a new rental space in her calculations. If I can recoup my initial investment before the decision time, I would like her to consider a location that could have a second classroom. I would reinvest the investment to buy more equipment.
A few weeks ago, you had mentioned that you were making decisions about your life. Have you decided what you wanted to do yet? Do you want to go into University?
Have a good night
The project is a nice one and it will be to everyone's benefit, we appreciate your support and proposal.
Yes, I plan to attend the university to study art. But I need to take the exams that will earn me admission into the school, the time for registration has passed and so I'll wait till next year. I also have other concerns as to whether I will ever get to the finish because of the payments involved.
Sometimes I wonder which direction to take.
In order to arrive at your destination, you need to know where you want to go.
Just to clarify:
Is your plan to attend university?
Is your plan to study art?
Is your plan to become an artist?
Is your plan to become rich as an artist?
Is your plan to become rich?
All of those goals are equally valid and attainable. You can do exactly what you described but after studying art at university, does that mean you will end up working in a sign making shop or selling onions at the market? A cousin of mine graduated from an arts program and was an exceptional artist. He never made a living as an artist. He has spent the last 35 years selling goods at a flea market.
What do you really want to do?
My plan is to attend the university to study fine and applied art, which involves painting, graphic design and more. I believe there are job opportunities for this course I'm about to take. However my purpose of attending the university is not to get rich, there is no such thing.
Did you draw this?
How does what you do compare with this?
Maybe you can start earning revenue by creating Webtoons.
It doesn't change your dream, but perhaps give you another stream of income to get you there.
I really like that idea. I'm checking it out to see how to begin. I may need proper guidance to be able to start
Thank you fo the invite.
